The car count of the mini sprints could possibly be less because of the scheduling conflict between the MMSA and the Amsa on sat. June 6th, On fri. June 5th there were 30 mini sprints, the next nite after they announced a purse increase and starting field of 24 cars ( actually started 20) some reduction of cars due to having competition from the MMSA at Twin Cities, competition can be good, but not always for everyone, If an attempt had been made to schedule the AMSA on one nite and the MMSA the other, I suspect the car count would have been in the 35 range both nites, more $$ for the promoter and the racers, apparently, this is not the goal of the promoter and the AMSA.
The obvious exclusion of the MMSA has and will have a negative effect on the car count at Fun Fest. Apparently there are behind the scene influences that don't want the MMSA at Lawrencebug with our higher payout & bonuses.
The MMSA received an uncomplimentary email for aggressively promoting the race at Twin Cities on June 6th,
I have not scheduled against any published date of the AMSA and do not plan to in the future, But, when they do, I will continue to aggressively promote the MMSA wherever we are racing.
Sometimes other personal factors influence business decisions.

Midget week and only 28 Midgets. Support series of Sprints count of 23 and 19 Mini Sprints.

Bloomington had 38 Midgets and 37 Sprints.

Kokomo had 30 plus Midgets. And I do not know how many cars ran their feature only thing.

Do the race teams have a thing against The 'Burg?
Economy, bigger track size and more tracks running.

I feel if you move the track in it will turn into a run around the bottom show. Guys will set up for it and run it. It will be flatter and that is the way some want it.
