Heck of a run by Bfitz. For only running a few races this year he was stout.

Mr. Stockon is aptly named, as he would spend the entire race chasing a rocket named Kevin Thomas Jr. and as the laps wound down, he would eventually chase his ass down. He caught him on the backstretch before they took the "two to go" signal. After they crossed the line on that lap, Stockon pulled out the remaining arrow in his quiver and threw a perfectly executed slide job in turns one and two. But the battle tested KT Jr. countered the move exiting turn two and that would begin a slugfest that would see these two exchange the lead 4 times in the last lap and a half. Holy cow, what a finish and what a race! 40 laps of racing would be won by a foot or two!! And had Kyle Cummins not been taken out by a lapped car, we might have had a 3 car fight to the finish. Because Kyle was on Chase like white on rice until that incident happened. And how about Blake Fitzpatrick? He was fast all night and scored himself a spot on the podium which was very popular with the crowd, as he got an even bigger cheer that the first two finishers during the post race interviews.
As I was leaving Vincennes on the way down there and I was finishing my ritual two scoops of Fresh Banana ice cream in a bowl, from Lic's Ice Cream, I knew this one was going to be a good one. That turned out to be right. Jerry

Kyle was not taken out by a lapped car. It was miscommunication between kyle and Mattox. The two motioned back and forth that the 28 would go to the bottom to allow kyle by but unfortunatly it did go quite as planned.
