You know.....typically in the past I would have pointed out the ignorance of the statement on Chett at Salem and debated other points.....but I think this is where I will exit this conversation.

dad that is not me talking about the minis and midgets. I ran a mini for a bit and ran at Montpelier my first year in it and ran decent concidering never had I raced anything. I bought a midget just for the mear fact I didn't like the chain drive system. I am still pursuing to find a race track other than Montpelier that will be a series that is similar in rules. not mad at what you have written about me though because you are trying to form the same thing as I am

Must be more than one Bear on IOW> The harsh criticism on the Division II concept didn't make much sense coming from a guy that I knew was putting forth the idea of racing of all Midget chassis cars under one set of rules. I don't think D II will interfere with either Full Midgets or Mini Sprints. Granted us Mini Sprint guys have lifted the rules about racing without our wings I would think in an attempt to be more like Midgets and give drivers another experience in racing. Personally I like racing both ways. The only problem was removing the wings made our cars just look like Midgets. In fact it turned out we were very competitive with most older Midgets. That is probably where the D II Midget Idea originated. I noticed at the first Tulsa Shoot Out how similar our cars where to the ECOtec cars in performance also racing there for their first time. I doubt I was the only person to see the similarity between the two. The combining of all of these cars only seem to be natural. Mini Sprints race most of their races with wings making them faster than the D II cars. Late National Midgets have also found a lot of Horsepower in the last few years making them faster also. But it seems to me as well as you and many other people that older Midgets>ECOtec Midgets>Focus Midgets> Kenyon Midgets> and even Mini Sprints can race very competitively with one another and put on a very good show for the crowd at a fraction of the cost of a National Midget Race. My apologies for making an "ASS"umption and keep on pushing forward. Honest Dad himself ![]() ![]()
