USAC will book against any big non-wing event they want to be a part of. Therefore taking the best cars and drivers with them until the promoter relents.

Your next race should be the Smackdown at Kokomo. ( Plus it's 200 miles closer for you.) From the Knoxville program. It didn't become a three day show until the sixth year. And it didn't grow because we waited for it to grow. It grew because we went and helped it grow.

Amen Koonzy! Smack down just keeps getting better & this will only be the 3rd year. The O'Conner's do a tremendous job and are moving in the right direction!

Even if USAC continued to sanction the Smackdown if the payout was big enough teams would still come.

Best example. The Eldora Million drew 250+ cars. Now obviously many of those guys knew they didn't have a shot against the best late model drivers in the world but for that kind of money, what the heck.

I'm not saying we need a million dollar purse but if someone was willing to shell out enough cash, cars would come from places you've never heard of.

Because they came up with the idea.

Track stays slimy till they get the water sucked/burnt outta the bottom of the sheep foot tracks. I don't think I've ever seen a really gd heat race there. The features have all been great in my opinion though.

I'm just not much on the idle around the tires single file kind of racing they have there. But most Wheatland fans love it.
One trip from Missouri to Kokomo is more bang for your buck than 10 trips to Wheatland for non wing open wheels racing.
How ever I'm sure the tire vendors do make out great at Wheatland.

Not trying to be rude but the Eldora million was capped at 150 and I believe it was 137 that showed up. about 40 of them 360s-305s
