I was sitting here trying to figure out just which one of them Ambrose brothers were under weight? ![]() Our DQ best I can remember was just a little after you guy's got yours, putting us into a very small club of racers. What happened to us was I think Jerry set the scales up on a hill with the scale ramps pivoting over the high spot in the hill the flex of the scale ramps on the hill was enough to throw the scales off 40 pounds. The renovations haven't changed the basic track layout that much; length and banking are pretty much the same, but the radius coming out of 4 (and to a somewhat lesser extent, going into 1) has been eased a lttle to make it less "D" shaped, and more runoff has been added in 1 and 4. The biggest changes are safety related; that gnarly old guardrail that wrapped around 1 and 4 is gone, replaced by a straight block wall that runs from the turn 4 runoff to a new exit lane off of 1, and topped with an IndyCar/NASCAR spec catch fence.

Getting ready to go out and look through AJ's junk and see if I can come up with a radiator. This radiator looks like it took a 45 cal bullet square in the center. We may play with laying her down again. We always had a cooling problem on gasoline hopefully Methanol will help keep her cool.

Gearing should not have changed much if any at all. We are still running the same gear as last year

Any guys coming over just go to www.midwestminisprints.com, I would look over the general stuff weight limit etc. Our association is a National Rules partner, so we have national rules.. If you want to become a member you can, but if your just coming to a few races a guest pass may be more of what you are looking for. Hope to see a good field!
Our use of raceivers and track procedure is up too the facility.

Yes but everyone up there has not changed gears.... Midgets, mini sprints, Tqs....
Only difference is that 3/4 is a lot faster and you don't have to put around the bottom but you guys will be fine |

Did you ever check the out F-86 that they landed on the Court house Lawn at Montpelier. Talk about a good pilot. I think he went on to develop the Harrier Close Ground Support Fighter. Honest Dad himself ![]() ![]()
