This is just a cool track to watch a race at.

I got hit by about twenty rocks that had a little moister on them, hard to tell with all the dust in my eyes. The track for as dry as it is was very racy.

You need to get hazardous duty pay if you sit in the pit bleachers @ Kamp, Jerry. Ask John Hoover. During an MCSC show, a couple of years ago, he got clocked by one about the size of a ping pong ball. I thought Referee Mills Lane was going to show up to give him a standing eight count.

I was hit twice, once on the left facial cheek. (Don't go there :O and once on the left wrist. And I was sitting at the beginning of turn one, right behind Bill Gardner.

Kind of like a racy, but dusty night at a smaller version of Eldora.

Sorry Danny, I thought I was blocking all the dirt clods from getting to you... :O: I got nailed a few times myself.

Kyle Wissmiller attempted to take Bob Price's rig to Kamp yesterday. He did not get far from Indy when the truck had a major engine problem. Talk about bad luck -- he said the wrecker he called to tow the rig back to Indy drove right past him while he was parked along the side of the Interstate, and never returned. When Kyle called the dispatcher a second time, he was informed that the wrecker driver couldn't find him.
Gotta wonder what that wrecker driver was doing as he drove down the ol' highway !!

I was wondering what is was like this year too. I decided not to go this year because of how bad it was last year. I sat closer to turn 4 and couldn't really see the cars between 1 & 2. I don't like dust but I can handle it if the racing is good. If I can't see through the dust to tell if the racing is good or not???? Maybe sitting closer to the s/f line would be ok.

I've gotta agree with the statement that I left looking like a coal miner. Last night was my first and will be my last visit to Kamp Motor Speedway. I didn't enjoy driving 3 hrs. with gas being what it is and having it be so dusty that you could hardly see the racing. The track looked just about right when I got there and thought they would bring the sprints out to run it in like at Kokomo. However they ran most of the moisture out of the track with the farm implaments. I realize dirt tracks will be dusty but hell it was Sprintweek, probably your best night to showcase your track and that didn't show me much. Bob Bressert
