Every article I've come across on this subject says that METHANOL is a cleaner burning fuel than ethanol. They say it is also cleaner to make since most of it is made from natural gas rather than farming. Just google it for yourself, they are all legitimate articles. They both produce more smog producing agents than gasoline, namely formaldahide, which is bad for the lower atmosphere. Burning gas is worse for the upper atmosphere. California won't allow cars to run on pure ethanol because it would increase smog. Converting to ethanol is NOT a cleaner solution according to what I've read. As far as safety, and I could be wrong, but the last burn injury I can remember was Gary B. at Sacramento 20 years ago and I don't think it was very bad. USAC had to fund the extra point fund for the sprints and midgets somehow and this appears to be one of the ways, if I had to guess. I don't think this division needed another major change right now and if car counts drop much more it will die.

Question? Who would be "Ignites" 5 biggest customers other than USAC?

Anyone heard a price per gallon or barrel of this Ignite 114??
From one of the Ignite dealers was quoted $370.77/barrel
May have 40% fuel savings but more than double the cost per gallon??

This is a losing proposition for the racers. Price per gallon nearly double, would not want in my midget or sprintcar. If you excuse the pun, will ignite much quicker than methonal in case something happens to the tail tank in wreck. Increase cost in cooling the motor. Increase cost in dyno time figuring out the fuel system.
