I personally think Terre Haute was at its modern best under Bob Sargent. Well run shows, very good track conditions. I love Haubstadt, but I have never heard of the Helfrich family showing an interest in THAT.

I most adamantly agree, I attended a couple of shows at THAT prior to the DA promoting and they were pretty good ones, I suppose Mr Sargent was promoting them? I also agree that the Helfrich's are in the tops 2% of all promoters. The fans have lots of well stocked concessions, cold beer if you want it, clean restrooms and the shows are pretty good. Did I forget NO DUST? :nonwingfan::usac::prafan:

I would love to see North Vernon back on the Sprintweek schedule as well.

When I moved to TH this year I was saddened to be missing the races at Angell Park but excited to finally attend the historic Action Track. Imagine my saddness when I arrived to find an Actionless Track. I have attended many of Mr. Sargent's races before and have always been pleased with the programs. I can't wait to have the friends down to see some racing at THAT.:applaud:

Sad part is, it won't happen until I hit the lottery, or someone(DA) expires.

Tim, when Jamie left I believe it was because he said he had too much going on and couldn't devote the time needed to run THAT properly.

Thanks Dwight. I had no problem when he ran the track. He would even answer his cell while he was working on the track!
