Ron Fisher (Barrel) won many features around Indiana even drove for some guy named Karl Kinser.Raced many years till late 70s i think.

I remember Ron Fisher racing at Kokomo as late as the early 80's.

I grew up in Sayler Park and know Pat well. As a matter of fact Pat knew my father real well. Last time I talked to Pat was the St. Al's on the Ohio festival this summer. Great racer!

Grandpa turned the Evans Bottle Shop #3 over to Dad in August of 1982. It was the #79 after that.

crp26, that is right. When Dick Gaines got hurt in Karl's car early in 1974, Grandpa took over for him and won -- I forget the exact numbers -- something like 13 of 14 races until Gaines came back just in time to beat Opperman to the line at Knoxville.
