I will agree with you Dan by saying that I ran with the MW-All Stars and the tuesday after I got a phone call from Guy Webb saying it was really nice to see us racing with them and would really like to see us come back. And I didnt have to pay an entry fee, or temp license or anything like that.

Drivers are leaving to try and find something that pays them better. Here is an Idea as a fan of your favorite driver who ever that might be. Why not at the end of a race night walk up to him or her hand them 20.00 30.00 bucks and say hey thanks for the great entertainment tonight. Even if it is only $ 5.00 at least they know you enjoyed yourself. Maybe some guy has a horrible night and just destroys everything on his car go buy him a hamburger and a drink. As fans you have more ways to help out than you know. You all Know who the big dollar teams are get some buddies together at a race night put $5.00 $10.00 each together and offer to help buy a tire some fuel or whatever for a underfunded guy who may not have any sponsors. It may not be a lot but sometimes just a little goes a long way.

I saw back in this thread that the prestige of racing with USAC should be reason enough.
If you were from out of town you would see that a little differently. I am from the midwest and we had very competitive weekly shows, raced IMCA, and traveled pre-outlaw style. We occasionally raced USAC and to enjoy that privilege we had to pay an entry fee and buy a temporary license to then have to jump through hoops set up by egotistical snobs they called race management. (and get homrtowned) I don't know if it is still this way but I suspect it may be as USAC dropped Rock Rapids Ia. and Sprint Bandits took it and most people in this area seem pleased with that.

It would be my luck, sc96, that my favorite driver or the guy that crashed would be a vegetarian and drink bottled water! Oh well, it's the thought that counts. right?

Also remember, if the drivers good, he can make a living on 40 to 50% of the purse money. Not so for the owners. It is going to be a very interesting season this year.
well i never stated that....im only running what Dallas and Jim put together that is no local shows and only usac and 3g or more shows as of now. Trying to find other rides to fill in my schedule as i will run for tony smiley at the beginning of the year and at the end usac races that is....hopefully i will find something to run in between sprintcar, midget, silver crown...if i get the opportunity i will not prove that person wrong....Please feel free to contact me @ robert@balloumotorsports.com or send me a private message for my #

If you had ran 1 more race with the midwesters you'd have been in the top 10 in points.

Sorry, But the Midwest Allstar Series is as about as weak as it gets. I can't see them charging an entry fee for any of their races.
