Like I have said many, many times
I hope this does not sink Non Wing racing. If it does, USAC has nothing to complain about. Been feeding these guys bologna and telling them it was steak for years. |

Dude, USAC purses were comparable with All Star purses Almost all USAC races were three times the local payout.

I agree with TJ. It was not uncommon for the WoO racer to take a year or two and run regionally with the all stars. Granted IMO Guy Webb ruined the all stars by turning it into co regional lower paying groups. Tony Brought it back and it was successful in most cases with some bigger shows mixed in.
Now we got USA or NST vs WoO again With limited number of teams that can travel all season. When head to head, They both suffer. They'll all be at the Kings Royal, Knox Nationals and Williams Grove National open anyway. While it's a chance for some to run for more $$$ Personally I think it will decrease cars coming in and Flo is hurting tracks, not helping. in their compensation rates. in many cases the difference between a show being a money maker or loser for the tracks. Take what I say with a grain of salt because I know no hard facts. But its my view for now.

So now many in the media and bloggers like TJ are all concerned about 2 guys starting High Limit as a power grab???? When WRG purchased the Woo series and then expanded it to Late Models and BBM, what was that?? You guessed it , a power grab. They have controlled that form of racing for a long time, and guess what...they got greedy and someone else came along and decided to try and fix it. Now all the sudden we are worried about a power grab???....Please

In some small part I have to wonder how much this situation will affect Non-wing racing. Many of the stars of the Non-wing world have dabbled into wing racing the last couple years including Bacon, Thomas Jr., Leary, Ballou, and Seavey, some of them with decent success. I have to wonder if all of the sudden there are twice as many starting spots for good money in the wing world will some of these guys try to run more wing races and not run a full non-wing schedule?
Back when you had the NST-WoO split you definitely seen some different drivers move to a more national schedule, it effected the 360 world more at that time I believe but I guess I could see it having an impact on the non-wing world. |

If attending a winged race, just show up around 10pm to see the A-main, the only decent race of the night if at all. You might even be able to sneak in for free. The rest of the program is a complete waste of time.
