Just another thought, for what it's worth, wouldn't a track, pretty much central to a lot of race car owners, be a benefit? like Twin Cities, it's pretty central to most of the Sprint Car, Midget and TQ's and Mini-Sprints. Makes sense to me, I don't feel it would be "thinning" anything, the fan base knows where both tracks are, and really, both are fairly easy on equipment, and like all dirt tracks, in Indiana, do sometimes offer more than one groove. I thought the cold, wet, Spring race there, went well, considering the amount of water that Mother Nature decided we needed, and to be honest, that was about it for the year. Bob

I really enjoyed the USAC race last year. I hope you get another USAC date, hopefully during Sprintweek, and run the bombers as a support class.

As much as I love Twin Cities I honestly think that running there is a major accident waiting to happen. The track conditions the last couple of sprint shows left a lot to be desired with pretty large holes developing around the track. The main thing that would worry me driving there is what is left of the catch fence. As most seen with Levi Jones going through the fence at the USAC show last year (I think it was last year) the current fence is on it's last legs and offers hardly any protection to keep cars from exiting the track.

Either Brownstown or Twin Cities (if improvements were made) would be great for a Sunday show a couple times a month.

I think Brownstown is an open door to what we need here in the Mid south. With Lawrenceburg becoming a BIG motor track and the comments I already made about Paragon and Putnamville, IF they were to run a program with qualifying, NO DAM TIRE RULE, and paid good money like the $1,400 to win WITH a decent pay back this track would atract alot of the same cars Bloomington gets every Friday night.

The tire rule isn't helping the compition and price is the same as any other tire so why do we need it? Let MSCS and USAC have the tire rule. Why don't we make a rule everybody has to run the same chassis and shocks too??? Get my point???

Go for it Brownstown:thumb

Sorry to here your considering IRL Chris, the real racing is right here in your back yard.

I will suggest something else, what would happen IF Brownstown and Bloomington did a "BONUS" for winning at both tracks in the same weekend like they do in Pensylvania or a combination of points for a chassis at the end of the year???

If Brownstown has an open tire rule, it will only be more expensive for drivers to run both there and Bloomington. You'd have to keep DT3s for Bloomington and options for Brownstown, too. That's quite a stock. Are you buying for everybody, Motormasher?

Yeah I realize Bloomington has a tire rule but I thought we could work that out later IF it became a possibilty. The tires are all the same price now so this idea failed. I think it sucks to have to carry a grinder and a man to run it to the track to "prepare" a junk a$$ DT-3 so it will work. Makes NO SENSE at all.

What we need to do is get Kokomo in on this mutiple track deal. This would be a great deal for all the local racers.

You bring a specific guy to the track just to grind on tires? Wow! :kookoo

The DT3 while i understand people not wanting to be tied to one tire, still it last way longer than a RD-12. The RD-12's are throw away tires after one or two heat cycles. At least the DT3 you can get to work for longer than one or two cycles.

I like all you guys with your smart a$$ coments, but since it has to be explained to you like a 1st grader here goes.

Somebody on the crew has to grind em up. And you all know your putting new ones on every other race if not every race because I am usually there in the pits watchchig you do it. Your sipping them to death to get them to bite and most eveybody is grooving them too. There ya go, now who does this on your team? Your driver? In my case yes, its me that has to do it because its hard enough to find people to take to the track and help on the regular things, let alone had a guy a 8" grinder and ask him to work his but off on that junk tire.

I agree with Kirk. Open Tire rule is the reason we are not running my car at the Kokomo Klash.

If we run any Sprint Events there will be a tire rule, probably the rules that are ran around here locally that way no one has to buy any new tires, and everyone can use what they have.
