Jim

Jim I'm serious as a heart attack.

I read the rules again and I'll be darned displacement is open. Harold by making the rules like he has up there may have opened the door for us wana-be Midget owners. I think I can build a very competitive 4 valve motor for less than a guy is going to pay for a freshen up on an Esslinger and it won't require a freshen up every 10 races, more like every other season.

Salvage motor................$800.00
Racing pistons..............$1000.00
racing rods...................$1200.00
Valves and springs........$1000.00
Machine work DIY...........,$500.00
Injector throttle bodies..$2500.00 reusable.......If DIY $500.00
Dry sump and plumbing
and pan.......................$1500.00 reusable
electronics and pluming..$2500.00 reusable

total $11,000.00 total package of that $6500.00 is reusable equipment = $4500.00 motor with I would bet 400+ HP

The price isn't bad for 30amp twist-loc cords but you can only pass to the inside all the time or its lights out for power......

Hehehe.......

Speaking of motors. What happened to the electric midget that was at the PRI a couple of years ago?

Even in that small Capri, It looked small but it had all kinds of torque and would just scream, it wasn't till about 80 where the V8s started pulling me..

Snoopy

I think Casey Shuman burned it up down in Florida a few years ago..

Pat I think for a 400 hp electric motor you would need like a 1000 amp 440 volt extension cord, and we would probably keep tangling up with them pesky infield tires. I guess it would be kinda like a high speed May-pole dance.
