I don't think someone doing updates for people at home is cause to get in free to a track. Looking from a tracks point of view what do they get out of it? Everyone reading the updates already knows about that track and that there is a race going on so its not doing them any favors. Fine to do the live updates but pay your way in and support racing.JMO

I am getting to this thread a little bit late, but i am lucky to see this from both sides of the fence. I am a promotor of some fender raceing. For 1, I really think the live update is not that big of an issue. If it is keeping people home, then your track has bigger issues than you realize. i have checked out several live updates and not one of them have been so good that I wish i would have stayed home. Most are simple results. The main thing I see these updates doing is advertiseing the TRACK. Reading the Tri State debockle yesterday made me want to be at the track. I realized I should have been there over being at another track. As far as web site guys getting in free for pictures, hell yes they should. I always check out the gallerys to see what i missed. As a true race fan I always get that empty feeling when I look at themm man I wish i was there. Even when I am there I like to go back and look at them to strengthen my memory. Lastly there are a few tracks out there that i really don't care for, and have no current plans to go back, but yes i do check them out on here to see if things are changeing. Back to my main point if you are a track owner and you know that the live updates are keeping your fans at home, its time to get some help, you have bigger problems than you realize.
