Oldfan may have said it the best. Look, fellas, you have a smorgasbord of options there. Kokomo is so far away from Haubstaudt. Try going to either track from southeast Michigan! I'd like to see a survey that asks the complainers how far they travel to see a race.
looks like most indiana race tracks are within an hour or so of indianapolis (or cinci for the burg) now lets talk about poor promotors; then lets look back at a guy named earl baltes, his track was way out in a cornfield in b f e with no major cities in sight, yet mr. baltes took the bull by the horn and turned his race track into the largest town in darke county on race nights by having fun with promoting races and working his tail off doing so; talk about innovation and rolling the dice! i sure would like to see someone step up to the plate with that kind of resolve and enthusiasm again!

LPS did the summer nats and it didnt seem like the fans supported that with a pretty high purse. Sorry for getting off topic but there were some other questions about other series lol =P

You're against just about anything other than non-wing sprints and midgets. The alms races at gas city were outstanding for 4 or 5 years, and they had a northern all stars race won by Doug McCammon that was great too. Then the weather seemed to lead to several rainouts of scheduled late model shows, and the class was more like a red-headed step child that received very little promotion. They had some excellent 360 shows, an all star race in 04 that was really good, and several other GLOSS and MASS series winged sprint shows. I went to all of them, and never once left disappointed. Almost all were very well attended, so to generalize it and say they won't work is wrong. The LPS (and Kokomo for that matter) summer nationals races were on week nights, so of course they wouldn't draw the same crowd as a weekend show. Give these kinds of shows a fair chance, do some promotion, and they will become a nice alternative to add to a schedule when sprints have a big show somewhere else.

Some of us drive hundreds of miles for just such action. Those tracks should run what works. Indiana is blessed with what it has.
Pick you a track and go watch... Get you a mobile device so you can get updates as you watch...
KISS really doesn`t pay that much more over a regular show anyway... Besides... Who is the ram rod of this KISS bunch anyway? I have been a party to these shows for years and haven`t met Mr. (or Mrs.) KISS to know who is the backer of this carnival of speed. Is there a board of directors , president , janitor ? Or is this a cumulative effort of local promoters trying to make a buck?
As I was getting ready to score the MSCS race at Haubstadt last Sunday I looked to my left and saw 2 yellow papers and they said Kiss Mike And other said Kiss Dawn I passed on both Still don;t know who they were just know they were with Kiss Maybe it was Gene Simmons without makeup
