I was on my way home from Holiday World and drove past the track at 12:30am and they were just then mostly leaving the track. So glad I decided to go ride coasters (and the new water coaster) instead of going to the race.

So they red flagged the race and during the red they refueled the cars. Was the checkered flag thrown during the red flag period because of curfew? Sorry, I am confused with the post.

Yep curfew was midnight and it was about 12:20 when they threw the checkered. They had several yellows after midnight but when they threw the red it looked like they were going to give them another chance. The crews were on the track but a few minutes later they checkered it.

How many laps of the feature did they get in before they called it?

Mike, I'd guess around 21 laps. My Kentucky method of counting laps kept me within a lap or two of the actual count.

By the way, Kentuckians here, I can make fun of what I consider to be us. Lots of very tired Kentucky blood runs through this tired old body.
