when they called it off it was raining at the track light but still raining the track looked a long way from being ready but they had been working on it there was 25 to 35 sprints there when it was cancelled I Think they tried but not only would they had to of started late the grass hill parking would have been trouble getting people stuck I give Spiker credit for trying but they made the right Call.
My 2 Cents from being at the track

There wasn't that many sprints there, and very few street stocks, mods, etc. No one in the stands, and it was a muddy mess in the pits. The right call was made for both USAC and the speedway. However, would have been better if it was called sooner.

Superduke called it a week ago. I guess the old man was right again. I'm glad I didn't waste my time and gas.

Pulled into Putucky at 5:35 PM just in time to see the last of the car haulers pulling out. The track was a mess and they wouldn't have had time to get it worked into shape. I couldn't see the pits but the haulers were muddied up so I imagine it wasn't very good either.
They made the right call to cancel but I wish it would have been earlier. Would have saved me a 3 hour drive to Anderson Speedway.

Of course, if they would have called it earlier it would have cleared off like Lawrenceburg and we all would have been unhappy.

The life of the promoter is a roller coaster ride for sure. I wouldn't want it for all that big time money they make.
I at least got to see some racin. I went to the fights (aka figure 8's) and a race broke out.
