Hawker, when I read your posts I'm reminded of a quote by Abraham Lincoln and you should take this advice.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."...take a second to ponder that.

Come on guys, we all know that Johnny has basically been a Chili Bowl joke for as long as he's been going. No one actually takes him seriously. He actually was slightly better this year, but only for the fact that the car actually ran all week. He was just as uncompetitive as always.

Speaking of Johnny, how have those Zero Motorsports chassis gone over? I think I only saw one besides his this year, and it was just as bad. Frewaldt got a normal car this year and looked pretty fast.

I think Johnny has taken enough of a beating. He does his deal and does what he does. If you like it cool and if you don't;cool.

I don't know Johnny or know too much about him. I do know that he does seem to try and do things differently and isn't that the spice of life? Would I own one? Nope, but if it appeals to someone then good for them.

There were about 50-60 crashes at the Bowl not including spins; so I don't think Johnny is the only one who made/makes mistakes.

So a guy puts together a car and runs the Chili Bowl not to mention running various other races and you call him a joke? What a classless ignorant thing to say. How did you run?

Excuse me folks I have to go take a Quicktime3 and wipe my Hawker.

One last thing, I challenge you to name just one driver with the accolades of Swindell, Kinser, Wolfgang ect who haven't junked a few cars in their time.

You guys really need to get over you hatred of drivers who are capable of excelling in both disciplines. Remember the old saying... A mind is like a parachute, they work best when they're open...
You name three of the best drivers to ever strap into a sprint car and you want me to beat ya. Can I have the rest of the WORLD, Gee thanks...Typical outlaw fan......

I have also worked as the Competition Director at a sprint Car track for several years and I was just offered a position as the Technical Director with a national touring series just a couple of weeks ago (I declined).

So I have been around a bit and not just in the stands. I'm sorry If I hurt your or Mr. Murdock's feelings. But if you want to be an innovator, that's fine. But be realistic. When I think of innovators at the Chili bowl, I look at what guys like Andy Bondio, Sammy Swindell and have done. Yes, they have gone outside "the box", but they were also able to back it up with RESULTS. Doing something "outside the box" just to draw attention is not "innovation"...

Hey Hawker if your so accomplished why don't you put your name to your post so Johnny can see how accomplished you are?!!?!?! Then let him way in on what he thinks of you!!!! I don't know Johnny that well but he has always been very freindly and nice to me.

Wow, now we're going to the personal attack mode huh? I would expect nothing less from a close minded "fan" such as yourself. I guess in a perfect world such as yours, everything is great and perfect.

I see that you refuse to read the post in the context of this whole thread.

But remember, those name I listed, spent a LOT of their career thumping on your beloved USAC nearly EVERY time that stopped in. And the majority of Kinser's wins came without a wing.

Outlaw fan? No, I'm a race fan. Unlike the close minded lemmings here, I enjoy it all and not just sprints and midgets either. But remember this, MOPAR Million....I bet that still eats at you....

Wow, All pissed off and still talking about it. Gotta admit looked a little funky at first then kinda grew on me. Good job JM. It was nice to see in bland world that auto racing as a whole has become that you can still build whatever you want and race it somewhere. They dont allways have to all look the same people. Like it or not. Am I wrong or did midgets used to be all one off home built creations that all looked a little different and not all were a-main material. Good angry discussion yall keep up the good work.

I believe it was YOUR 'personal attack' on JM that got this whole pizzing match started.
Don't you think it might appear just a wee bit hypocritical to chastise us as "close minded lemmings" while at the same time mocking JM for being different? Rhetorical question. I'm sure you see no hypocrisy in that whatsoever.
This will be my last post on this thread, so feel free to have the last word. I suspect you're determined to have it anyway.
