Dickie Gaines is unable to take off work and Brad Stevens commutes daily from Cincy to Lexington, Ky for work and can't get back in time to drive, either. So, the http://moletrapper.com Sprinter will sit this one out.

Chuck, thanking whoever made the original list on another thread.
Chuck, as much as I really enjoy ISW, how do you figure this rivals the Knoxville Nationals? Yes the KN is for wings, have you ever been there and experianced that week? Two nights at Osky and four at Marion Co. Speedway w Ralph Capitani, simply awesome. I/we went there for a number of years, best i can remember without checking my notes,192 cars for the 4+ day event.
All of us are more than ready for ISW, and looking forward to the Sprint Bandit/ TNT tour in August

Well I do love me some crazy Easterners!! I was born in central Indiana and saw the early heyday of Lincoln Park Speedway before being transplanted in 6th grade to centrall Pennsylvania. Guess I can count myself lucky to have grown up near some amazing non-wing racing before living 15 minutes away from Williams Grove and getting a baptism of dirt with the Pennsylvania Posse!! I still love some memories and photos of some of my winged favorites, Doug Wolfgang, Chris Eash, Jim Nace, Tim Shaffer and many others...still cherish my photo of Steve and Mark Kinser with me as a 12-year old in the pits..i think that moment might still be what got me in to photography!!

If you read what I said it means that I feel there are more legit teams capable of winning at Sprint Week than the Knoxville Nationals. Be honest to yourself here, In recent history, How many outside the WOO (Which carrys 11 cars) or track regulars have won Knoxville? Yet last year we had Bland Jr. Win, The year before Clayton

192 cars or not, Probably ten of them are gonna win 90 percent.

It was obvious to me at the Burg WOO show that about five teams HAD the edge and the rest were fillers.

IM also going to post something here that compliments the WOO. Look at who's winning. Most of them have raced for years. You just don't step into the WOO unless your Tim Kaeding or Craig Kinser and win very often. I believe Shatz raced for at least ten years before his first championship. Joey Saldana started in Burg and IN short tracks back in the late 80s early 90s.

Believe what you want, But I truelly believe that there are at least 30 at every sprint week show that could win any night of that week.

I have nothing against the Knox Nationals other than its winged (LOL) To its credit they don't follow the WOO format and go only by times and go by accumulated points. Making the prelims and heats a GO OR GO HOME situtation.

Chuck, who really hasn't seen a good wing heat race in years but USACs are 8 inverted.

Chuck you should have went to Knoxville before they put the napkin holders on top. Now that was a show worth driving 12 hours for every year. It was a non stop party back then also. Seen Jeff Swindell riding wheelies on a mini bike behind the grandstands at 3:00 am, the poker games in the cattle barns where all the rigs stayed. Gary Stantons rig was the top of the class as most everyone else had a pickup and an open trailer. Man now those are they days gone bye that I would love to have back.:2:

I would have loved to seen it. I grew up watching Dick Gaines, Wilkerson, Milburn several others but I was a kid, I didn't know Knoxville existed. Long before I was able to drive 1982 they put them suction cups on em. Heck even USAC was doing it a bit.

Id still like to go but Non Winged it would be a not miss situation
