Well in my personal 2 cents I agree with a previous post.I was not there and really cant speculate because the video showed that they drove her off into turn 3 at 300 mph.One thing I would like to comment on though even at that speed was that it wasnt a slider.A slider is a slider only when successful and you dont drive over the top of racer x in the process. That was a failed attempt at something or another.I also dont agree with the "meeting" that took place afterwards.I may have went to his pits after the program and discussed which route they were taking home and where we may all meet up for dinner but I wouldnt have hit another driver in the head with a perfectly good helmet on.Its been said it was the last lap.Yeah.So what. What does that mean.Drive over as many cars as you can without taking yourself out before you get to the checkered?By the way,as I stated at the beginning.Just my 2 pennies.

My thoughts on the night....

It was a great race.

Brad Kuhn has become one of the best shoes around and he and Felker used a motor to win last night that some wouldn't even use in the sportsman series.

Brad Loyet and his family are great people. He doesn't have an "unsafe" attitude, he wants to win the same as everyone else there. As far as getting into guys, I don't think he is the first guy to ever do that.

Both desrved the win and there is nothing wrong with showing emotion.

Hines was the fastest car on the track the last 10 laps and if it where a fifty lapper he would have been the winner. Then again if it had been a 20 lapper Siner would have won.

I wish Don would have been there. I really did miss talking to him.

Coons had a rare off night and I wish Clauson could have been able to stay up front.

Hud Cone and Travis Berryhill where fun to watch.

I love that track. That is a fun place to see a race at. I was glad to see that they had a big crowd.

"As for punching another driver after racing action is compeleted i feel that there should be no penelty.Because racing was completed."

So what you are saying is that if the race is over if you are mad at another driver it is ok to go over and start Wrestlemania 25 with them. I agree with a bad slider then punch thrown after the races while another guy is getting out of his car. It was hard racing no if an's or buts. The fans loved it. Who ever was talking about .25 midgets was right loyet got a charging call and should be sent to the back. Kuhn should also be put to the rear as well. Be serious people its a sport called racing.

Brad Loyet shows up at the race track to WIN races. When he was deciding which direction to go in life, he had to decide if he wanted to join the UFC or go racing. He chose to go racing! I have seen Brad Loyet wrecked by others MANY times and have NOT seen him get out of his car and punch someone because he just got wrecked. Is he mad, I would have to imagine so! But come on, punch someone?? Please don't dumb down the sport of auto racing. Brad Kuhn is a great driver and I'm sure he has put on many "unsuccessful" slide jobs in his day trying to WIN a race. That is why he is so good! I'm fine with POWRi giving the win to Brad Kuhn, but I would have to say that there should be no tolerance for the punch and for trying to wreck a race car after the checkered flag!

In my mind, I give the win to Nick "BANK" Knepper.

I want to agree with what you said about a "slider." A slide job in my opinion is only acceptable if it is done without contact with another driver. Guys give slide jobs all the time and don't take the other driver out in the process. It appears to me that this "rubbin is racin" Days of Thunder type racing is becoming what people accept as the norm. I for one do not want to see that kind of racing when I sit and watch a feature race. As for the "meeting" that took place afterwords, all I have to say is maybe that is what some of the young kids who seem to hide behind their father's, when they do something as out of line as Brad Loyet did, need for a change because talking to them doesn't seem to accomplish much.

Can you give some specifics on the "MANY" times that Brad Loyet has been taken out? Also, since he did decide to go "racing" and not fight in the UFC maybe he should think twice before taking out another driver for a win. Some day the younger kids in this sport are going to have to answer for the consequences of their actions and I think Brad Kuhn just made Brad Loyet do just that. I'm just thankful that Powri stood up and made a call that could make Brad Loyet, and others, think before taking a driver out again. By the way, if Brad Loyet is such a good driver then why did he have to run over Brad Kuhn to win the race? Why is it that he couldn't win the race fair and square and PASS the leader without touching him. The good drivers can do that, the others have to use their bumper to gain an unfair advantage. Just my thoughts you can take em or leave em.

I couldnt agree with this more....a slide job happens but contact does not have to. A slide job should be used to BLOCK the path of another car, not CRASH him. Loyet saw the white flag and had a choice to make....do i take out Kuhn's front end to win it or settle for second? It is obvious what he chose. As for the punch thrown by Kuhn after he spun Loyet.....i can distinctly remember the late Cliff Cockrum standing on the cage of a very young Sammy Swindells car at the old Benton, Il. fairgrounds trying to pull Sammy up by the helmet while still strapped in. My guess is Sammy forever gave Cliff a wide berth after that. Loyet can only be thankful he didnt pull that move 30yrs ago on the likes of Bob Kinser, Dick Gaines or the like. I also fully support what POWRI did by DQ'ing Loyet. Justice was administered and those who dont agree can pack their silver spoon and move along to the next race.
