When the green car took out the other car @ Anderson....then the driver proceed to "pat himself on the back" after the fact.....so the question goes - is this how the umra wants to be seen?....

If you think that even the best driver in any form of motor racing has never made a mistake no matter what age or ability than you truly know absolutely nothing about racing. If you find a driver that will say they have never made a mistake you have found a liar.

The driver of the green car was not patting himself on the back he was trying to indicate to the safety crews that Tate's shoulder was hurt. Again if you knew real racers you would know that this is how some communications are made. What was said to and about the rookie in that green car over what was an unfortunate accident was cruel and untrue. If I had been any of those people and you know who they were I would have trouble looking myself in the mirror. That is NOT what real racers do. But there again we are not dealing with people that actually know racing or racing drivers or organizations.

Sandy,
I would love to see both sides come to a happy medium as I wrote in my earlier post. I have only made one comment toward the MTQRL that was not positive. If they truely intend to let everyone race then I apoligize for the comment! I will also wait for the apology toward the Goffs for thier statement about them and their family. That apology will go miles in getting both sides talking. Agree? As I stated earlier they divided the club with their statements. Unfortunetly, they offended many people with their statements and a apology would do great things. They should have the same respect for their new club as they do for the Ramsey and Martz family (as we all do). So making a statement out of respect for their club shouldn't be a problem unless, they meant it! I agree with you on all of the publicty thru IOW however, I don't think it is all negative. It just show how much passion we all have for TQ racing. There are a few people who have nothing to do with TQ's that just want to interject their opinions. I have said all along it would be great to have one race with both clubs (if they could truely work together) using the thunder in the dome format (team Indiana vs. team USA) that would be a great night of racing. We have a little more than 3 months before we start racing and very little time before its to late. Good luck

It is unfortunate that the political situation has reared it's ugly head in TQ racing.Enough of this bickering about they did this or that. I really don't care who is the "best", as long as in the end, it is the best for TQ racing. No matter who the club is , I just want a good, safe show, and decent car counts. It is a great tradition in Indiana racing, and whoever runs the program in the end, I hope they can enrich that tradition.

Take your energy, anger, etc. and try to figure out a way to get UMRA and MTQRL to come together and be one strong club instead of two weak ones.

UMRA's average car count last year was 28.64. If you take out the pavement races (which averaged 22) the car count bumps up a little to 30.69. UMRA's highest car count was 35.

The most TQ's competing on any one night was 40. This was when the MTQRL held their first race (17 cars) the same night as UMRA's season closer (23 cars).

You need more people to become involved in three-quarter midget racing as car owners and drivers. Do you think anyone who reads the bickering on IOW is going to buy a TQ and race with either club?

If you want three-quarter midget racing to be successful make positive posts on IOW. Or just not post at all.

If your intentions are to rip apart three-quarter midget racing and have it fail then go right ahead and continue with your negative posts.

Sandy Lowe

I certainly hope the Ferchettes read this about ripping apart TQ racing and to forget grudges against certain teams. Then maybe they will realize that they need to stop all of this and step up to the plate and work with the UMRA.

Violin, first, let me say, as you won't, my name is Bob McClure, and I approve this message. 2nd, their name is Frechette, not Ferchette, and they didn't start this "split", it has been coming for at least 10 years. I've been a member since 1991, as a driver/owner, and I'll have to say, early on, it was the most fun you could have, and keep your cloths on. That has changed, and it hasn't been on a road to recovery. I think you, and all the rock throwers, should do as Sandy has said, and let this issue work itself out, right now, all you are doing, with your comments, is making it harder for promoters and track owners to say yes, and schedule races. If you continue you actions, I'm afraid we'll all be wishing we had bought a boat, because a submarine ain't where it's at! Bob
