Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but.... A Ford F-150 is still called an F-150, no matter what engine is in it. A Chevy Camaro is still called a Camaro, no matter what engine is in it... Etc.

The only difference should be what is currently used now: USAC Midgets, Powri Midgets, Illini Midgets, etc.
Simply goes along with everything else in the world like World of Outlaw Sprint Cars, ASA Stock Cars, All Star Sprint Cars, Badger Midgets, etc.
Never sell yourself short with a name. Just say what it is. People in the game will know what it is. The average fan may know what it is, and the family who heard an ad on the radio about a race, wont care what it is... They're just there to be entertained by the stars and cars of that particular series.
That is all.

Back to the original subject....
Sportsman has opened a 2 car length lead over D-II, 48 to 35 %.

Well, I did ask for folks to refrain from the "that's not a Midget" debate, but I pretty much figured that was a lost cause.
Just tryin to keep it light, and once in a while post an update. It's all good.
I thought your F-150/Camaro analogy was spot on, actually.
As they might say in the U.K., "Stay Calm, and Motor On"

Less then 75 people care to take the poll. So who cares what they are called. Look at the big races, what do you call them? Knoxville, chili bowl, Eldora. When you talk about a sprint car race you just use World of Outlaw, All Star, Usac. Until you can get 4,000 people at a midget race, Just call them a midget. People do not care what they are called. Yes if you get the right name for them, the 4,000 people will show up to see them race. That is the only thing holding them back, the name.

Sorry but no reason for me to place vote. Will always be just midgets and mini sprints.

Bitter

This is a big old country we live in. Went there to their website. They list USAC Speedstr race cars. GOT ME?? USAC flying something under the radar I guess. I havent found the rules but they look like Focus Cars? They also look neat.

You sure messing up with our debate???

I stayed out of it and am all about taking the high road.
How many other message boards are filled with 3rd or 4th class division post? Or every Sprint or midget thread gets turned into a Mini/Lightning etc thread?

Like others have said. I think it's being done on purpose.

It may just be me and I don't intend to insult anyone.
But the only free standing Stepper class I have and would pay to see is TQ's
