The less tightly packed the deeper the water can go.

Just a thought.

DO if you can find a way to turn water into dust then you are way smater than any of us :rolling

Just throw water on top of a hard packed track, run 850 hp 20 inch rr with tens of thousands sharp edges cutting at it 120 mph wheel speed and presto DUST !

How many old farts here remember seeing the dirt tracks looking like a plowed field with water on it long ago? Race cars would pack it in with narrow tires and then race on it.

No dust to speak of.

Today the tracks are just packed too damn tight with everything they can run across it. Push trucks, packers, wide tires on trucks.
Oh ya lets throw in the pounding of the sun too and some wind.

Cut em deep water the pizz out of them and packem with race cars. Maybe mix some dog, cow or pig ***** with the water.

Ever step in a hard dry pile of *****?

I remember watching cars at Manzy/Ascot come in after packing the track and they had to weigh an extra 30 pounds from all the clay and mud on them. Sprint cars should always pack the track!!!! To me a track should be at it's best for the A main not after hot laps. So ya have to scrape a little wet clay...small price to pay for a racy track for the A. On the other hand I have to throw switching to Eastern Time in Indiana does not help much unless you start packing the track at 8:00 or 8:30.

I think they have a pretty good handle on the talking part of things there at Terre Haute, I drive and pay to watch racing not seeing how long you can take to drag out a program.Lets see champ cars only 26 showed up hot lap and qualify and run a 100 lap feature I was there for to long for only this much racing.Just a friendly reminder the fans pay to watch racing on the track not seeing how long they can bs over the pa system.
