Just stating the facts!!! There are others winning without henchcrafts. I dont think Lindsey has an henchcraft. DAD doesnt she also have a FSC? I know for a fact there are people spending about $6000 on motors to put light weight cams, cranks, and other items in their motors. All I am saying is that there are other cars out there that can win over Henchcrafts for a lot less!!!!
By the way I spent my 20k on a sprint car..... Quote:

All You did was make a very small down payment on your racing deal. Now you got tires & fuel every week, and boy when it comes time to freshen that motor up "ouch". NOW-- ask yourself How much will you have to spend to run up in the top five?

When we raced quarter midgets there were kids that started off in cheaper cars that ran at the back of the field. Then their dad would buy them an expensive new chassis and a blue-printed motor, and guess what.....they still ran at the back of the field.
It's great to have a nice new car and a fast motor, but you still have to know how to set up it up.....and more importantly you need to have someone behind the wheel that knows how to drive it. There is nothing scarier than a wicked fast car being driven by someone who can't hold onto it. Smooth is fast. |

I will agree you dont need a new top of the line Henchcraft to win, me and my youngest brother had two old 98 bailey cars and i won a few races with it and my brother ran in the top five about every weekend so yes the older cars can keep up and still run a stock engine, In my opinion I believe if you have the money to buy the henchcraft buy it and if not save your money and buy it when you get enough, because as far as im concerened its the best car out there. We own three Hench cars with bone stock motors and if you dont belive the engines are stock come lay $2,000 down and we will pull the engine out and you can take it home. AMSA isnt open by the way they still alow big motors to run but you have to weigh more, when you say open people may look at that like its ok to weigh 900 or 935 and still run the big motor with AMSA and that is not the case. Not all Henchcraft cars have built engines, I know of a few that have built engines but i also know of a few Foz cars and even a few of the older cars, a big engine and new car wont win you races, you have to be able to drive the car as well, the big engine and new car might get you close to the front but when you get to the front you have to deal with people who can drive a race car and know how to set them up and if you cant half way drive and get a decent set up that big motor and new car wont help you out a bit.
