With more than 1 B Main they just alternate the cars into them.
B Main 1 Heat 1, 4th place - Heat 4, 4th place Heat 2, 5th place - Heat 5, 5th place ... B Main 2 Heat 2, 4th place - Heat 5, 4th place Heat 3, 5th place - Heat 1, 6th place ... B Main 3 Heat 3, 4th place - Heat 1 5th place Heat 4, 5th place - Heat 2, 6th place ... Everybody who doesn't make the feature runs in a B Main and they only have that one shot to make the feature. With a B Main & C Main if you have problems in your heat (flat tire, etc.) you are fighting an uphill battle to make the feature. You would run the C Main and then start on the tail of the B Main. Usually when there is a C Main and a B Main they start 20 cars in the B Main. With 5 heats the C Main transfers would start 16th thru 20th and have to finish in the top 5. |

Hey, even if he did bring money, that's what everyone does now, it's the way of the world these days, sucks, but if you can get out there and hustle some sponsor money or otherwise which enables you to get a seat in a car as competitive as Walker's have always been, I say go for it, after having cars of our own for some time.. it would have been hands down cheaper to team up and just take the sponsors elsewhere and put the wear and tear on someone else equipment.
Just sayin.. ![]() |

USAC traditionally only runs 1 B Main because they limit the number of cars that run their heats (Sprint Week, etc.). When the top 40 qualifiers start a heat race they transfer the top 4 so that only leaves 24 cars remaining and they run one B Main.
I work at Bloomington Speedway & Lawrenceburg Speedway and for their regular shows they run either one or two B Mains depending on car count. |

After the third and final B Main the super stocks came out to run their feature. During the race something happened in the grandstands where they needed the ambulance and security. They got that cleared up and resumed racing and then a street stock flipped. While under that red a couple of the drivers got in a fight. They still haven't restarted yet.
