I know for a fact that one car owner/driver is still waiting on their points check from a couple seasons ago at LPS....maybe its still on his desk
Read the following torqueball........... it is what I was referring to..

I was not putting you down Joe, I was sincere in saying that it was a good point. I talked early today with some of the drivers involved and they just wanted their money

LOL

Simply put, if you receive a check for the 2007 point fund in 2008, it should not be included or added on to your 2007 1099 form. It will be part of income for when you file taxes next year.

I had to include all those links and tax code stuff just so people didnt think I was pulling it out of thin air. After Enron, WorldCom, and other accounting scandals we are a little paranoid about providing documentation sometimes...thus complicating things.

PS: TorqueBall: I understand completely, I didnt think that you were putting me down in any way. Bottom line, drivers want their money over all else...and I hope they do receive it.

But next the racers were told on the frontstrech during the banquet after the last race at 1am that our checks were going to be mailed with our 1099's. Did that happen NOPE. Thinking that it was a freak accident i called my buddy Robbie Rice to see if he got anything and guess what his answer was. ?????? yep you guess it. He didnt get S*^T either. So next year instead of making the 45 min drive to putnamville every week i will make the hour and half drive to the burg. I feel as a racer i have been bent over one to many times by the management at Putucky. I love the track and the fans that come to see us race there but enough is enough. I have supported the track and tried to get more sprint cars to race there last year and made myself look like a ***** for no apparent reason. So if anybody knows anything about what is going on feel free to write back.

P.S. I have all of the reciepts from every gallon of fuel and Tires that i purchased.

Billy, Would love to have you at The Burg.

I love PVille as well but IMHO it's not right to hold your racers hostage as well as your fans. I gave up on the guy two years ago. Sure it should help tracks if you buy fuel and tires but it shouldn't be required.

This, in a round-a-bout way, was what I was wondering.. And hoping someone would say.
So if D.A. said, "part of the delay was the fact that several drivers gave incorrect Tax info on their sign in sheets. The names didn't match the SS # given."
If the point fund $ is not on the 1099, then it would have to go on the 2008 1099. With that said, there would be nothing sent in to the I.R.S. about it yet. And if nothing was sent in to the I.R.S., where would you get that SS #'s don't match-up???.. Off of the 2007's??
The I.R.S. responding to 1099's that were sent out in January stating that #'s don't match, by the end of the month??.. That would be a hard to imagine. But, even if by miracle this did happen, it would only affect a few.. Like that dirty theiving scoundrel Puterbaugh . So why not send out the rest of the $ to those that supposedly didn't have a problem?
The only thing that doesn't "match" here, is this supposed reason for not sending these folks their hard earned cash!! But hey, be sure to buy all your fuel and tires from D.A., or you won't get no $ (again) next year. Or be sure on that last night to have to stick around until 1 A.M. (in 40 degree weather) to go do a trophy presentation in front of 4 people in the grandstand, or you won't get no $! You guys don't need a lawyer, you first need an F.B.I. Hostage Negotiator for the $ he's been holding hostage... Then get a Lawyer.

You all deserve better than this.......

I am not into violence or nothing but why don't all of you GO & GET what is deserving to you? And see how he stumbles & makes excusses when all of you show up at his door-step?

I do not know this man personally but we finished 2nd and 3rd there once this year and collected $700.00 for both positions combined. What a joke. That was the end of our apperances at LPS. As far as you racers go you are only a good as your surroundings and I know many of you are very good and respectful racers and do not deserve this kind of BULL*Chit

Make the change and shut this man DOWN...

He's a Loser....:loser:

Wouldn`t, shouldn`t the 1099 for 2007 have the points money from 2006 on it? After all, this is the same way it was handled last year. Since I haven`t received a 1099 or a points check as of yet, for 2007, I can`t say if my points money from 06 was on my 07 1099.
