....I love how you are shoving (disrespecting) the lower classes onto not only a track that is too small to be anything but follow the leader or bump and bang, but now telling them to run on Sunday afternoon.......Perhaps you would see it differently if someone had the opinion that when USAC was at Lburg, you had to race on Sunday, they only cared about the cars that made the A main and the rest should pit at the Casino and not even bother coming in the gate...TQ97

A little different scenario with USAC. They put people in the grandstands. Even if they ran on a Sunday afternoon, there would be people in the grandstands. Plenty of'em. Also, you're lumping AMSA with the rest of the support classes at L'Burg. I didn't say anything about pure stock and Mods. If I had my say, it would be sprints, mods and pure stocks every regular show. You also have to understand, TQ97, that this is simply my personal preference and that I only speak for myself and a few other like-minded fans whom I know (and have spoken with about the subject) personally. In addition, no one said anything about your "not" trying to put on a good show. It just isn't working out for you. It's simply a bad show on a large track, no matter how hard you try. Your description of what it would be like on the motorcycle track sounds much more interesting to watch than what we're seeing on the big track.

Back to the original point of the post, I agree with OHracer I think this is going to work and grow numbers, not split and decrease numbers.

Gives the guys running 600 uprights and sidewinders a next step before (or if) moving on up to full sprints.

I for one like this and hope it works for all!

GEE LOOK A POST WITH NO BASHING!:applaud::eek:

Twin Cities canceled 1 race [ all the workers went to Eldora for the World 100]

so it would of been 11 Lawrenceburg
10 at other tracks for a total of 21 races
Gee I can count.
now you're changing your numbers. I simply went by the numbers you used in the previous post. Are you still counting the cancellation at North Vernon and the 3 cancelled shows at Montpelier to come up with 21? Before, you said 3 at North Vernon. Ok, we'll say 4 now. Taking L'Burg out of the schedule that's 7 parades instead of 6. Still not a "life-sustaining" schedule. You desparately need L'Burg, otherwise, there is no sense in owning one of those things in this area.

Cecil, no knock on you, but is there any type of racing other than Non Winged Sprints that you like?

I know you used to work on a Late Model, but, seriously. Let them race. Just go pee when they come on the track

Ah hell nevermind, I saw your other post about what you would run if you were promoting. Cancel what I just said. Happy New Year!

you can knock on me any time you want Chris. Lord knows I've beat up on you enough :emote20:. As for my preference in racing? In order of preference, I obviously love the non-winged sprints first, then the IRL and Indy (although I'm pretty frustrated with how things are evolving with that group), winged sprints, Late Models, Mods, and finally, street stocks. My son and I have three good friends who run late models, David Spille, Scott James and Josh Williams. I enjoy watching those guys race but, I wouldn't likely go to a late model race unless somebody I knew real well, such as those guys, was involved. Same with the other stock car classes. You need support classes at local shows and the stock cars such as mods and street stocks are much better suited for that role than the minis and TQ's. As for winged sprints? I personally believe non-wingers put on a better show week in-week out but, I will pay to go to watch a winged race a few times a year. If we could afford it, we would run a lot more wing shows per year than we do but, it's just too expensive for us to do on a weekly basis so, we run 2 to 4 wing shows a season. I love how stable they are but, I get stomach acid sitting up in the stands wondering what it's doing to my precious little motor (and tires)!

OOPS! FORGOT!...happy new year to you, as well, Chris!
