Maybe not, but when this started the tracks promoted all the shows and not just theirs. That built it to what it is now.

Jackson 100 is also a late model race....not sure what that has to do with Indiana Sprint Week?

Well... my original question was why Brownstown lost their ISW date, since they DO host the highest purse of ANY dirt race in Indiana. My question was answered in regards to the water truck incident. Then BTF came back and said the SMACKDOWN was the highest paying purse... sorry, but it isn’t. Whether we like it or not, CASUAL FANS support the late models and the winged sprints better than the cars we all love.

I mean Lincoln Park schedules against everyone, if Gas City wanted to run, especially lates, no big deal.

I think Brent was alluding to the fact the Smackdown has the largest purse of any sprint car race in the state, which is correct.

Every track and their fans seem to want a ISW date. This decision really is free market supply and demand that would now allow USAC the ability to rotate yearly among the numerous dirt tracks in Indiana that clamor for an ISW show. Each year a couple of tracks come on the schedule and a couple rotate off until you have 11 or 12 tracks rotating through the 6 or 7 nights. No track has a yearly locked in ISW show or day of the week. (except maybe an IMS televised, BIG payday finale each year) Eventually everyone who wants one, will get a piece of the ISW over time. Only FAIR way to spread the wealth, geography, and fan access to ISW. Looking forward to a great July week in the Hoosier Heartland!

Agree. I thought you were referring to the No Way Out 40. Which also pays a big purse
