This address will get you to the fair grounds:

Duquoin State Fairgrounds, 655 Executive Dr, Du Quoin, IL

It will be my first time to the indoor race so I am
not quite sure where the building is. Hope this helps.

The Southern Illinois Center is located on the south end of the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Turn into the fairgrounds property off of Illinois 14 and you can't miss it. Hope to see you there. Enjoy.

You get anywhere near the Fairgrounds you'll see the Center. It's gotta' be the tallest building in the immediate area. I envy all of you who will be there. Circumstances being what they are for us there is no way we can pull it off this time. I really hope this begins a Christmas tradition that will endure for a long time.

I've also heard that the Fairgrounds are all decked out for Christmas right now, too. I think they call it the Holiday Lights Fair. It's a drive through deal along with displays in the Expo Hall which is located up towards the horse show pavillion, I think. This is the last weekend for the Expo Hall deal. While camping at the Fairgrounds during the Fair and race weekend over Labor Day locals have told us that it's a really nice event.

Again, I envy all of you who will be there!! Have a great time!!

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

With only a single class running I would expect it to be more like 6:00-6:15 maybe. I am sure that they will try to move the program along. You planning on making an appearance?

I'll be making the trek as well, although I do not have a ticket just yet. I guess tickets will still be available at the door? Sounds like everyone has their tix.

Edit: from POWRi web site.....
Plenty of Battle at the Center tickets still available at the door!!!

The only way I'd pay Gate price for Streamed racing is if I had the capability to record what I paid for. At least I can take my Camcorder into a track..

Love the option but no way in hell is streaming anywhere close to being there.
