Ok not to stir the pot but this one is coming-going to happen. With new vehicles having all the cool new features on them. Self parking, look ahead braking (down the road self driving) The car manufactures are going to not allow any after market parts to be used on new cars. Also only factory trained personal to work on the vehicles. This will not be a government deal. It will be the car makers doing this on their own.

They've already tried that and the courts found it unlawful for them to do that and the case was thrown out. cant remember who it was but it was posted about on here a few months back.

Brand new box truck at work. Not even 2 mos & the dadgum sensors sent it to the shop. My Semi shut down while driving because of a stupid sensor telling it it was running at 1300 degrees - no sensor no problem. They say they are for safety. All the stupid crap they are putting on them are causing all kind of useless problems from what I see & hear let alone the cost for fixing said useless crap !!

Speaking of safety I think they should have something on trailer that shows they are backing. Coupling & Uncoupling should be in the testing phase of a CDL.. For what that piece of equipment costs the windshield wipers should be a lot better also. Winter is the worst.

They can't enforce the laws we have now so they have too try and go further and tweak what was there & if that is big government then I can leave it. These past 7 years would have been fine by me if they would have just served the time & got out.

They probably will install E- Logs on trucks also in the near future without distinguishing that some company's are different than others but hey they done something, right.
