35 race nights which is pretty good considering my home track had to close the doors the first of July due to flooding. Thankfully, it is scheduled to re-open in 2012. 5 new tracks this year inculding Indy Motor Speedway, Indy State Fairground, ORP, Kokomo and Lake Ozark Speedway. This brings my total to 73 tracks in 14 states. Highlights include my first trip to the Indy 500, the Gold Crown Midget weekend, and a regular show at Ventura Speedway. I love watching the races in front of me and watching the waves hit the beach behind me.

Even thought Chuck said it was a ton, we were down this year, mostly due to Mother Nature. Certainly pales in comparison to DRTCHSR but we still enjoyed the 2011 season. Hoping to hit 3 more before the ball drops on 2011.

Like to say thanks to Chuck for the other thread. Easy to keep track of when and where.

Only hit 76 races at 30 tracks in 5 states with 16 different sanctioning bodies this year. I guess not bad for still having to work for a living. Here are the tracks.

Anderson (7)
DuQuoin Mini Mile (1)
Bristol (2)
Twin Cities (2)
Lincoln Park (5)
Salem (2)
Talladaga Super Speedway (2)
Talladega Short Track (1)
Eldora (5)
Kokomo (8)
Lawrenceburg (6)
IMS (1)
Indy Fairgrounds (1)
Columbus (1)
South Bend (1)
Toledo (1)
Paragon (1)
Speedrome (1)
Rushville (2)
Belle Clair (2)
Terre Haute (2)
Gas City (7)
Brownstown (1)
Bloomington (1)
Tri State (1)
LORP (3)
Winchester (4)
DuQuoin Magic Mile (2)
Florence (1)
Montpelier (2)

Im grouping them by state.

Indiana, Brownstown, Bloomington, Tri state.
New Jersey. New Egypt, Bridgeport.
New York Orange County, New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, Five Mile Point.
Pennsylvania Grandview, Big Diamond, Lernerville, Williamsgrove, Lincoln, Selingsgrove, Susquehanna, Mountain Speedway, My 1 asphalt race, Penn Can,
I'm probably forgetting a race somewhere but it's a good start to my list. 70 races total for the season.

I, too remember the similar thread at the beginning of the season, but forgot to keep track. Well, here we go.

Battleground Speedway, Highlands, Texas
Royal Purple Raceway, Baytown, Texas
Golden Triangle Raceway Park, China, Texas
Gator Motorplex, Willis, Texas
Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway, Indiana
Bloomington Speedway, Bloomington, Indiana
Lawrenceburg Speedway, Lawrenceburg Indiana
Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis, Indiana
Kokomo Speedway, Kokomo, Indiana
Anderson Speedway, Anderson, Indiana
Tri State Speedway, Haubstadt, Indiana
Gas City I69 Speedway, Gas City, Indiana
Terre Haute Action Track, Terre Haute, Indiana
Brownstown Speedway, Brownstown, Indiana
Santa Maria Speedway, Santa Maria, California
The Perris Auto Speedway, Perris, California

That's only 16 different venues with two new to me; ironically the ones in California (considering I was raised out there).

As far as series/programs:

Battleground Speedway Weekly Racing
ASCS Gulf South
USMTS
SUPR Late Models
USAC Sprint Cars
USAC Silver Crown
USAC/CRA
KISS
Kokomo Weekly Racing
MSCS
IRL/Indy 500
WoO Winged Sprints

52 race events, one rain out (Little 500).
Indy 500 Practice and Qualifying

Not a bad average, one event per week.

It would be neat to see some drivers weigh in on what tracks they competed on this year, just a thought.
