Yes, And I like the guy for his demeanor......PS.....Jack Hewitt drove for my uncle Bill Powers back in the day also. I think Jack was hired and fired many times from his car..

"If you don't flip several times a year, you are not driving the car hard enough. When my uncle was a USAC car owner in the 70's, you would have been fired if you were not running the car hard enough, that includes flipping periodically."

Jon Stanbough, Dave Darland, Jerry Coons Jr., Ect... Dont seem to flip and take people out or pull the normal 81 car stunts.... and they win alot of races....

That car could fly. Wasn't it the White #51?

I remember Eddie Leavitt really doing well in it. They had quite a few fast times and didn't they also race it at the nationals?

I remember Larry Gates and Vogler driving it also.

Does the car still exist? If I remember right it was a Shores car.

Yes it was the car and all of those guys plus more did drive it. Car was run all over the country. Usac and big $ shows only. Only the best drivers were hired. Car was very fast for its time. They had more titanium in their motors then, than virtually anyone else at that time. It was the King Machine/Powers Welding Special. Second place was just the first loser back then to these guys.

No idea if the car exists today.

Yeah and how many years of experience is there there? and yes, They still do Flip How many flips have those drivers incurred over the years?
. JS was out all weekend. DD tore up some Kuntz cars earlier this year. It happens. Ballou flipping at Burg while trying to take lead. WOW, How is that his fault when the leader changes his line?.
I go to tracks to see drivers hang it out. I haven't seen Ballou not do that yet

As i recall on a jackslash highlight video from earlier in the year, wasn't it jon stanbrough taking out dave darland & himself & Hockett went on to win the race? I think jon flipped all by himself at kokomo ISW? Thought jerry killed a car on the eastern swing too!

You race hard you crash hard. How can you blame ballou on a rock coming through the hood and hangin the throttle wide open. sH*t Happens. Thats why they call it RACING

They're back on the air, live from I-80 Speedway.
