Seems like Salem suffers more than other pavement tracks as far as car counts are concerned. I've always thought it was due to a combination of being a high bank track and hosting USAC post Indiana Sprint Week. Of course, the current economic climate ain't helpin'. Posted via Mobile Device

Thats just enough for a good heat race but not 4 heats and a feature event. I stopped going to Salem several years ago just because they dont get get enough sprint cars. I think the track is too fast for most to attempt it. Does Winchester get these low sprints car counts also?
They should have changed it over to dirt instead of adding more asphalt to the infield.....JMO.
