It'll give everyone who isn't watching the mods race, a few extra minutes to walk around and talk about what a great idea it was to bring midgets back to LPS.

I've always been a big supporter of LPS. I usually make 6-8 trips down a year. But I'm not sure how great a midget track it will be. I know I went to a 100 lap midget race there several years ago and it was nothing but a spin and flip fest. I think about 70 to 80 laps of the 100 were ran under caution. It was a huge disappointment. Hopefully this show will be different.

Russ,
Is that the show where Gary Lee was the announcer? If it was, then yes, that show was horrible to sit through. Let's hope all goes well Thursday, that the sun is shining and that the humidity decreases just a bit. Tom

Hey Rudy, I have an idea, lets expand the program to four classes by adding the Big Bad Bikers and their Monster,Flame Throwing, Pulse Pounding Harleys!!

Yes, I think he was the announcer. I'm pretty sure it was the Hut 100 moved from Terre Haute one year for some reason. Some called it the Put 100. I just remember they hardly ever got more than 2 or 3 green flag laps before someone spun or flipped. I can't remember who won but I remember the announcers really talking up AJ Felker during qualifying.

I remember when they had the Hut 100 at Putnamville and it was full of cautions and reds. They ended up cutting it short that night and not even running all 100 laps. But the night before that on a Friday they had what they called the Put 40 and that was a pretty awesome show.I can't wait til Thursday and I hope that a lot of the USAC midget guys have a sprint car ride as well.
