And hey, impress some of those new cars with the speed and efficiency at which the UMRA runs a program, maybe they will want to come back. Dont advertise a big purse and then have strings attached to it. That type of wishy-washy stuff is , from what I've heard, is the reason for some of these cars going with the new club. This kind of stuff just creates tension between the two groups and is ridiculous. It is my understanding that you dont have to be a member to race, and the prize money is the prize money. If Tony Stewart won the Indy 500 the speedway wouldnt hold back some money and tell him sorry, since you dont run with us every weekend you only get 1/3 of the purse! Come on guys(and girls), I think most of us want unification. In case nobody has noticed, both clubs have a very anemic car count. 19 cars at Rushville??!! 12 cars at N. Vernon??!! Instead of making it unpleasant for people to jump from club to club, impress them with what you have to offer.
Please check your facts. Thanks AJ for the reply and telling this gentlemen the way things run.

This is just my opinion but I believe that if the people that left the UMRA to run with MTQRL will be honest, it was really for alot of personal reasons. I apologize if I am wrong, some of the guys are trying to run both and I believe the UMRA has been very welcoming.

Well, Mr. Anderson, If you checked YOUR facts, YOU would know "how things run around here". By the way, I'm not in the "other" club. I have been with, and continue to be with, the UMRA for more years than I can remember. My point, as it appears to be lost, is that the UMRA needs cars from the other club to survive. There is no way that either club will be booked at a "real" tracks (non-fairground) next year because promoters are only seeing 12-22 cars show up with both clubs. Long term, it is a lose-lose situation for both clubs. I'm trying to look at this from the outside and not let personal issues sway my opinions. It seems that lots of people cant seem to do that. I want to see the UMRA thrive again. Not many years ago there were 60+ cars at Rushville. Cars from California and New Zealand! Its depressing to pull in at Rushville and see 19 cars in the pits. I remember what it used to be like, and I for one, miss it....

Racing is suppose to be fun so if its not fun dont go. Race where you want when you want. Thats what its all about racing. Forget the ******** involved just race. Both clubs have good competition so race with both clubs is that much more rewarding to win.

JPM,

I'm pretty sure that I remember some gears lying on the track at Montpelier. I was there that night, but it didn't seem to help! You know that I'm mainly moral support anyway...lol!

Haha! Yeah, why doesn't it surprise me that it would take some people this long to figure out that you're not me? It seems that they'd have more to worry about than you being me...lol! Anyway, you're easily as goofy as me, but I am a bit taller!
