Hey Memmer.... You know where you went wrong. Now just go race.

You were one of the first to defend him with the "you don't know him" excuse. So it seems to me that your mind was made up as well. By the way, how well did Memmer "know" the official before he decided he deserved to get a race car aimed at him?

You are right about one thing though, my mind IS made up. IMO, John Memmer is a jerk.

I did not defend him. I suggest you go back and read what I typed. The personal name calling and bashing is what I took issue with. So you need to get your facts right first before you post.

For the last time.... He was wrong in how he handled things and is deserving of some kind of punishment. I don't know how much more clear I can be about it. The juvenile name calling is sad. But it SURE is easy to do sitting behind a keyboard isn't it???

Unfortunately I don't get to Indiana nearly often enough. That being the case, it's somewhat difficult to discuss things involving non winged sprint car racing face to face. However, I don't hide behind a keyboard. My user name is my real name. Hopefully I will get to come back up there in mid-August. If you desire, I'm very willing to discuss this subject with you in person. To avoid any confusion, that is NOT a threat.

LOL! That's funny.... Be careful with rumors..... Most are not true. This or any other personal shots are not with the time. His about discussion of topics or is that too much to ask for?

Throttle Person-
There is only one reason I did listen to that call-in, and that was to gain a better assessment of this kid, and possibly begin to adjust my thinking of him. I trotted out my share of adjectives to describe his shortcomings, and he had this opportunity to begin his road back with fans and competitors by at least sounding remorseful about the actions he undertook in the car and out of the car. Instead he stayed in his comfort zone of being more victim than offender.
Although I think he should order up a gross of new shirts with the design of his sprint car halting the path of a rumbling Chinese tank. I bet they'd sell.
It doesn't matter to me any longer. You can cherish your relationship with him and all, and that's fine. I'm not going to cast him in a more villainous light than he has already cast himself. The bed he's lying in is his own, but eventually he's really gonna need to change those sheets. They're soiled.

He said that VCS officials told him he was welcome back any time? That reflects just as poorly on VCS. They don't come out of this looking very good, either.

Is MSCS supposed to have a "meeting" about this today?

Go back and look I posted nothing untill this interveiw so yes I had not made my mind up yet. I was more appalled listening to his excuses than I was by the original acts. Considering he tried to run over someone that is saying a lot. I held judgement thinking we all do things in the heat of the moment. I would of had a much higher opinion of him if he never said a word about the incident than that prepared statement.

I agree I am shocked that vcs wasn't upset at the display in front of their fans. Memmer made it sound like he is best buds with them and almost positioned it as they didn't think he did anything wrong by inviting him to stay and watch the feature. I don't have much respect for them if that's the case.

Memmer said there was a meeting today with mscs so I guess we'll know more later.
