I totally agree, Alex. While Memmers actions went FAR beyond the line, and I'm sure he will learn from it, MSCS scoring has been questionable, quite often over the years. I understand that drivers, crew chiefs, and yes, even scorers make mistakes that affect races. But, in my opinion, MSCS seems to make more mistakes than other series. I however applaud those people trying! ![]() |

Dean, I will not be retracting A WORD of my post, so..."et, tu? Oui."
When you see something that childish, over the top and relentlessly inane as the behavior Memmer exhibited, I could care less that you had a water with him after and he was contrite. His colors came to the forefront when he swerved VERY close to an official, refused to take his demotion, then went towards the crowd with his gesture, which is known to every adult as "Suck M* D***!" Spare me the defense of the "real" Memmer. I saw the real Memmer on the video clip, trying to unhook his car from the tow truck, trying to make things as inconvenient for everyone else as he felt it was for him. These are not bursts of anger. They are indicative of a pathology. And when you have a child posing questions about something this straightforward, you do not shade the areas of question; You stamp them in black and white. Idiot. Numbskull, etc. I could care less what the rationale was/is/will be. It was his behavior. Does HE own THAT? And just in case the handle isn't clear enough, this is Steve Eckert typing, in my brightly sun-lit living room. Not hiding, not living vicariously. Living My OWN dream of raising a child to not behave like Memmer when he becomes an adult, since this is the behavior that kids will exhibit before they are thoroughly taught right from wrong. He can own his actions. I will own my actions and my words. _________________ Steve Eckert |

I had tosay something on this i was not there so dont know what was going on but i think there had to me more to this than what we are seeing. That is not the john memmer i know and have talked to several times at the track. In my opionion john and is dad have been nothing but nice to me always happy to talk racing to anyone in the pits. that is just my opionion. I never expected to see that vidieo when i read the headline memmer has an itch. So maybe some one can tell us the whole story before we judge him im not saying i respect what he did that was wrong but i still would like to know the whole story
WE ARE NOT ALL PERFECT WE DO MAKE MISTAKES AND HOPELY LEARN FROM ALL OF THEM!!!!!! |

[QUOTE=shanks39;114464]Watching this video, I ask the question of why were they lining up John behind the car that clearly shows in the part that Hunter and Triplett getting close and Triplett bringing out the caution. The car they are trying to line up in front of John is clearly a straightaway behind John when the caution come out. Can someone clarify? Or was this a scoring error?
Your right Alex, the 17 would had to have spun out or something right after passing the stand to be that far back. |

Well stated Steve Eckert!
And you didn't even use any quotes from dead pedophiles or old rockers! |

If john does get suspended from mscs for his actions it looks like all he has to do is show up at the next show and he is racing!!! Or does mscs not live up to what they say. In my eyes if mscs says dont bother showing up to the next few shows they should live up to what they say!! They have forgiven one for his actions. Not saying that what john did was not worse. But i guess we will see the true colors of mcsc. We will see wether you race becouse of who you are or if they treat everyone the same. If they do treat every one the same they will forgive memmer and he will be racing next weekend.
