Very True point that hasn't been mentioned much....good crew chiefs and good crews can make or break any team:idea:

Boy you certainly nailed that one. I wonder what the potential could be for Kenny if I could get him away from me and with someone who knows what the heck they are doing!

I resemble that remark too Curt. Hey - at least you've never sent Kenny out without power steering. I couldn't decide whether to tell TJ we planned it that way or not! :doh:LOL

"Don't touch it dad." Ever hear that one before?:icon_smile_blackeye

I have been reading all the posts on this subject and you folks are missing one very, very good young lady driver in Arin McIntosh. I have watched this young lady since she was in 270 micro's and she is one of the BEST young drivers in the midwest. Anyone who has raced with her will tell you that she is one of the cleanest and smoothest drivers around whether it be wheel to wheel or trying to pass and she is usually the one out front. Not bad for a Father and Daughter team.

Two young drivers from the west coast that stand out to me are:

Kyle Hirst, who has several wins this year and deserves a solid ride whether its with wings or without.

Ryan Kaplan, a kid who I have never seen mentioned on this board, but quietly won 2) SCRA non-wing 360 races, 1)USAC Western States pavement sprint car race, 1)BCRA dirt midget race, and 1) open wheel road race at Laguna Seca this year while running a fairly limited schedule. If that doesn't open some eyes, then we are all blind.

There Is Really No Positive Talk About Any Of These New And Up Coming Drivers From The West Coast
How about Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick from California.

12 year old Tyler Reddick "the California Kid" has been running a limited schedule with the POWRi Micro series but still was "Rookie of the Year" in the POWRi series in the Micro Sprint Division. http://www.tylerreddickracing.com/

Just four days into his 15th birthday, Kyle Larson made California sprint car racing history as the state’s youngest winner ever in the sport. The victory in the California 360 Sprint Car Civil War race at Placerville Speedway. Larson also is the youngest person to ever race with the WoO Sprint Series. http://www.kylelarsonracing.com/

Another young driver with great talent is Cameron Dobson. CAMMERON CAME OUT OF THE 600 Mini division and was the HOSS sprint champion as a rookie. I believe he now drives for Carl Edwards in the Silver Crown series. Im sure you will see great things from this kid! :thumb:

Ryan Kaplan is one of those rare talents who wins in anything he seems to get in. Pavement, dirt, winged, non-wing, sprint, midget, oval, and road course. He has accomplished about all there is to accomplish on the west coast and if I get my wish we will see him in the midwest for the 2008 season. I got to spend some time with Ryan and his dad while out west a couple weeks ago and I really think as good as Ryan is on the track he is even better out of the car. Great kid and family.
