Each of the series mentioned have incredibly talented drivers, knowledgeable crews and well funded teams working their rearends off every week, all season race after race with the aim of winning. This guy shows up now and then waxes the field, take their money and his wife shotguns their beer. Id say he earned the right to stand shoulder to shoulder with our past and present heroes. Rumor has it (started by me) their trying to get him a horse to ride in the Kentucky Derby

What bothers me more is people in general want to be the first to anoint someone as the “goat” before they get there. The fact he won the three races in one nite at Eldora is a fantastic feat. Of course Mr. Hewitt did that plus win the mod race that nite too. Don’t remember reading his name being put with Larsons.
So you sucked at it and were not willing to sacrifice enough to change that. But can judge others. Got it.

Mario: Indy 500, Daytona 500, F1 World Driving Champ, Indy Car champ(4), multiple championships in Usac.
Larson: Nascar champ, 24hrs Daytona, Knoxville Nats, Lawrenceburg winner, UMP mod winner, mini sprint winner(last year), ESPY award, and a race at Osky where he was half trying and almost lapped the field.(must have been one heck of a race).
But hey, he has only been at it 12 years and done it all. Nothing to prove to me or anyone. After looking at those credentials AJ and Mario probably wish they could suit up tomorrow and try for at least an ESPY. 🤷*♂️
I’m personally not old enough to have seen Foyt and Mario run on the dirt so it would be foolish for me to say how they compare with ur hero. I didn’t look up the chronology to see if it took them 30-40 years to win those big events. If it did then I’ll give ur hero another 28 to try. Remember I never said he wasn’t talented. I question the lauding of a victory in a UMP modified. Something he will always have over Mario and AJ.
You can't judge Kyle on races he hasn't entered! We'll see what happens if he ever gets a chance at some of those major events you mentioned.
Considering what he's attempted, I think he's as good as anyone.....

Once again and hopefully for the final time, I’ve not said Larson isn’t talented. I stated my OPINION, that I don’t feel he is in the same level as the others mentioned. If you feel my opinion is judgement then I can’t help that.
To the poster who wrote you can’t judge a guy about events he hasn’t entered. Exactly. You also can’t elevate a persons stature to those levels either. That is my opinion. Clearly most on this topic don’t agree with mine which is just fine.
