I remember several of the old outlaws that had Crown rides, Steve , Sammy, Doug, Brad, Danny,Rick, saw them at Springfield mile running what was call something like the Dream Outlaw sprints nd Silver Crown on the mile , If I remember right Danny Smith won both races driving for K C Spurlock or Kenny Rogers. It was a hell of a show then at breakfast Sunday morning we got word that Gary Scott had been killed in a crash at Knoxville Saturday night That was the last wingless race Knoxville ran. Next week it was and has been wings at Knoxville since

Steve Kinser- I believe at his age given a couple races he could still get the job done.
Jack Hewitt- Sentimental favorite.
Robert Ballou- As long as he made the show his time trials would not hurt him on the miles.
Kenny Wallace, He can wheel a street stock /modified.
Dave Darland- even in a Sh*t Box he is competitive.

At least his man crush is on the best I ever seen in a sprint car with or with out a wing.

MDC doesn't have the patience for champ cars.

I was talking with a group of people in Florida, and this driver was present. One of these five, drivers has acquired. A dirt Champ Car. And is going to try to make the Springfield mile. I will eliminate, anyone who has never won a champ car race. Stay tune!

All of these guys at one time did have champ car rides in early to mid 80s
