Since I can get to the Action Track from my house in Terre Haute, without seeing one stop light, I will make the 3 hr cruise to the "Burg".

Congrats to Kyle Cummins, your 2007 and 2008 MSCS Champion!!

I was just reading an artical on Hoseheads web site and it states that leffler will be at Silver dollar speedway in Ca. for the Fall Nationals this weekend.

Swindell, Leffler, Stewart and Sather Enter Fall Nationals

by: Troy Hennig

(Chico, CA 9-28.08)...Out of town drivers will be plentiful this weekend at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. All are in search of the $6,000 Saturday night main event win during the 17th Annual Pacific Sprint Fall Nationals. Always thought of as one of the best hidden treasures in the sprint car world, the Fall Nationals will attract over 80 cars from all parts of the United States. This year 23-year old Fargo, North Dakota female driver Natalie Sather is ready to take on the high banks of Chico. In 2007 Sather became the first woman to win a major ASCS trophy when she won the Midwest Points Championship. Joining Sather will be Germantown, TN sprint car icon Sammy Swindell. Late in the year Swindell teamed up with local car owner Tom Rolfe and together the two have made a nice combination. NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Jason Leffler will return to the Fall Nationals after missing last season. Bixby, OK driver Shane Stewart is also slated to race. Stewart will try to avenge for last years heart breaking loss on the final lap. Stewart is once again teamed with Paul Silva and the Doyle's Harley Davidson #1.

Anyone know whats up with that? First Yeley now Leffler, if the Leffler info is correct one must wonder how much truth there actually was to either of them running the Hut 100 in the first place.

I'm betting on Yeley and Leffler being in Terre Haute since both drivers have been quoted multiple times in local papers about being there on Saturday. The most recent quotes actually ran in Friday's Tribune Star. Should be interesting to see whose blowing smoke or getting lied to about the drivers coming to a certain track.

an update on the tunnel.

As of 1pm when I left, there standing water about an inch deep in not many places. You could walk through the tunnel without stepping in water. Pumps will be going throughout the race so it will stay dry. At one point we had a pump problem, the big pump stopped and the tunnel had almost 4 inches of water in it, but then we got the pump going again and it was dry in under an hour.

Those old race fans can stay away from the track then. Who cares.

I'm in for THAT.
