oh...and my only complaint about Sprint Weeks is that i don't get to go to every race, so if it's possible, could we hold all the races at 16th St. Speedway...it's only 15 minutes away from home. all the best to our great competitors:applaud:, there's nothing like sprint cars on dirt! bob:checkered:

The picnic at IMS is a great idea. The Speedway offers special Grounds Tours during this time and I'm sure that I could work out discounts for a large enough group. On a Grounds Tour you would get to go inside the Media Center, on Victory Podium, inside the Pagoda, to Timing & Scoring, inside a luxury suite atop the Formula 1 garages, tour the garage area, take a lap around the track stopping at the start/finish line for pictures, and be given great detail about what transpires at all of these places. Museum admission is included in the price of a Grounds Tour and it would be a great part of your day at the Speedway.

If there is change to be made, I agree that they should run in no paticular order a "north" schedule and a "south" schedule. Maybe 1 year start with Terre Haute Thursday,Bloomington Friday, The Burg Saturday, Haubstadt Sunday. Then move North with Kamp Thursday, Gas City Friday and finish with Kokomo on Saturday. I know thats not Kokomo's usual nite, but that would allow everyone a day of travel back home before going back to work on Monday. Then the next year switch north and south in order leaving Terre Haute the opening nite since it is the most centrally located in the state , then Gas city Friday, Kamp on Saturday, and Kokomo on Sunday. That in my opinion would cut down on some of the travel expense with gas heading toward $5 a gallon.Oh yeah throw in the H.A.R.F. picnic on Monday and it would be awesome.Wasn't sure where to fit Brownstown in there, but with the quality of racing there this year they should be included somehow to make the 8 race schedule complete. Any thoughts??

My idea thought #2

:greenflag: week 1

Wednesday - Camp
Thursday - Gas City
Friday - Bloomington
Saturday - Paragon
Sunday - Kokomo

:greenflag: week 2

Monday - Sprint Week Picnic @ IMS
Teams work out of haulers on grounds in the garages.
Picnic behind IMS Tower on the bricks.

:redflag: Tuesday - Day OFF !
Teams still get to work in the IMS Garages.

:greenflag:
Wednesday - Brownstown
Thursday - North Vernon
Friday - Haubstadt
Saturday - Lawrenceburg
Sunday - Terre Haute Finale

:checkered: Hots @ 2:00 pm
Quals @ 4:00pm
Rework Track for racing @ 7:00 pm
Indiana SprintWeek Awards @ 9:30 pm
All done go home @ 10:00 pm

Start early so fans can get home.
Quick awards on track. Quick Fireworks Quick out the gate.

Just an idea, everything makes travel sense, day off for teams, Picnic @ Indy, teams have a place to work and fan frendly.

You need to have The 'Burg during the week. Hotel rooms are out of sight on the weekends because of the Casino.

When "the evergreen" was face down was he by himself or with someone? Inquiring minds want to know!

I agree, if you have the Burg on the weekend, no one will be able to afford to go. I know its a catch 22 but I enjoy the two weekdays at the Burg. JMO

I agree with the people who've posted something about trying to keep the dates in some sort of geographical order. I even think you could get half of the tracks on their normal nights, like this:

Wed: Lawrenceburg
thurs: N. Vernon
fri: Bloomington
sat: Haubstadt
sun (day show): Terre haute
mon: Off
tues: Off
wed: Paragon/putnamville
thurs: Liberty
fri: Gas city
sat: Kamp
sun: Kokomo
no day shows period

You're right. It wouldn't be a good idea to get the teams into their off days early, get the fans home at a decent hour on a work night, to see something different, or to honor the past in any way. Exactly.

EVIDENTLY YOU WOULD LIKE TO SIT IN A DUSTY RUBBER DOWN TRACK NOT BEING ABLE TO EVEN SEE THE #s ON THE CARS.THERE IS NEVER A GOOD DAYTIME RACE IN THIS DAY & AGE. ( TO EACH HIS OWN) BUT I WOULD STILL BE THERE (BECAUSE IM A RACE FAN ) :Steer:Steer
