Thank you! That's all I wanted to know. Not sure why anyone else would have a problem with that question...for those of us who remember Mike Fulper over the years, it's a legitimate question!

This group is doing something that has been needed for a long time by spreading the pay deeper into the field.

They are also addressing the complaint I have heard voiced by many track owners and promoters about the Midgets. I have heard many times in the past commonts to NOT do programs with Midgets because you will loose money. The ASCT is offering several events that are running both classes. This is good for the Midgets, the Sprints, and the fans. I believe this will grow into quite a series.

I am supporting ASCT in as many events as my work schedule will allow. I will be there on Saturday to help this series every way I can. I will be very visible as as proactive as I can helping this new series accomplish their dream of putting races the drivers will want to race in and the fans will want to see.

See you at the races and give a toot on your horn when you see me on the road.

Now....Hopefully we can get back to what this thread was started for....Let the racers SHOUT OUT and let their fans know they will be not only supporting the ASCT, but also Twin Cities and the fans who love sprint car and midget racing in that area.....
OK - Now we're talking. This is exactly what is needed to "earn" the support of the steel block folks. Sprint Bandits is paying an additional $500 to the highest finishing 360, at least for this Texas/Arkansas swing. We missed it by one position Saturday night (I knew I should have made that gear change, dammit).

Additional recognition/rewards will help sway our decision as to where we race week-to-week. The additional should, however, be awarded at each race rather than only a season ending award.

Agree.

Also, it's Dickie Gaines not Gains. Just sayin'.

My betting dollars would be on one of the DM stable of midget cars to clean house at this event.

Oh, and I agree that the original "steel block" portion of the series will quickly go away....the aluminum block guys will probably dominate.....
JOHN promissed if the alum guys run off with the show that additional changes would be made. So just hang on for the ride guys, we are. Jeff Sweat
This isn't a bash at you either John I'm just waiting to see how things go..And hoping foe the best.

Tough crowd here. This use to be an enjoyable forum, but apparently some people on here need som Prozac.

This guy is sticking his neck out to promote a series in one of the worst economic times in history. Hats off to him for even including the midgets, which have all but gone away in recent years. Let him get in a few shows and see what he has to offer.

Do some of you naysayers forget that potential sponsors may read this site? After reading some of these posts, why would any business owner want to spend money on sprint car racing? I would make a wild guess and say that those complaining either do not even own a racecar, or if they do it has not a single sponsor decal on it. Lets be positive about this! Sounds like a great option to me, and the pay is very strong!

The steel block option is great for a modified racer to move up without breaking the bank. Looks to me like John has quite the recipe for affordable racing that someone could actually make some decent money, even if he ran mid pack. And some of the venues are really neat race tracks too.

Give this series a chance!

I would say most of the naysayers don't even own or drive a sprint or midget.
