Another well run show at Kokomo this evening. With weather being a concern, they moved the program along and the sprint car feature was finished at 8:30 PM. The start of the first sprint heat with two red flags in the first couple of laps looked very ominous. It sprinkled a couple of times but didn't ever really rain.

A great run for Cole Whitt this evening. Everytime I see him out of the car, I can't believe he is old enough to drive on the highway. Good battles through out the field. Josh Spencer won his heat race and held off Dave Darland in doing so. Josh has really gotten up on the wheel this year. That first sprint feature win a couple of weeks ago, seems to have injected confidence.

Track prep was again great. They took about a 10 minute break to touch up the track but that was the only down time to speak of. Twenty-four sprint cars in the house and they decided to start the 22 that remained in the feature. Next week is the Bob Darland Memorial race. Look for a good car count with the added money involved.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

Sarah and I have thirty one under our belt and for the last fifteen years we have been at some race track on our anniversary, just would not seem right to be anywhere else. Congrates on 23, hope you have several more happy years.
