I know and I wasn't trying to slam him either Kirk. Like I said I respect Dave a ton but I just noticed that change in his style. In the few years I've had the chance to see him race, he's put on some great drives.

As for some monster sliders, it was winged racing but I've seen guys like Haud and Tyler Walker pull off some great ones at Pevely during WoO action in the past. I have some of Greg Stephens' WoO season tapes with several races from Eldora. Some passes Steve Kinser made, I don't see how he pulled them off but he did. I wanna say Eldora was where the slide job originated.

I don’t think any of us were slamming Dave. I just remember that night and how the absolute best can have an off night. And boy did he have an off night, it would probably be easier to name the things he hit than what he did not. I like most still have a ton of respect for him.

Whether a slider goes good or bad just think what racing would be if they didn't exist? Would we enjoy watching a guy settle for 2nd place just cause he is worried if he can clear a slide job or not? I seen a Badger race at Charter in Beaver Dam in 08 and only 16 midgets showed up but the slide jobs for the lead made the night one to remember even with the low car count.
