Chad Boesflug and Brent Beauchamp led the field to the 30 lap, $5,000 to win USAC main, with Boespflug, leading the field to the line to complete lap one. The red flag would fly on lap two, as the new track record holder Leary would flip in turn two. When racing resumed, Brady Bacon and Beauchamp made contact going in to turn one while battling for second, with Beauchamp flipping, bringing out the red flag. Bacon took the lead from Boesflug on the restart, leaving Boespflug to contend with Hunter Scheurenberg for second. By lap ten, Bacon held over a straightaway lead over the second place battle between Scheurenberg and Boespflug. The caution flag would fly on lap eight, as Kevin Thomas, Jr. slowed to a stop on the backstretch. Chase Stockon would work his way into the third spot, getting past Boespflug on lap ten, and set his sights on Scheurenberg for second. Dave Darland, who had started 14th, had moved his way into the top five by lap 12. The caution flew on lap 13 to bunch up the field. Another car on the move was Bryan Clauson, who started 11th and worked his way to third on lap 16. Clauson then took second from Stockon on lap 17, and caught Bacon for the lead on lap 18. They rode side by side on lap 19, before Clauson took the lead on lap 20. Clauson began to pull away from Bacon little by little as the laps clicked away. With five to go, it was Clauson, Bacon, Stockon, Thomas Meseraull, and Robert Ballou completing the top five. Clauson would cruise to the win over Bacon, Meseraull, Stockon, and Ballou.

USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car heat winners were Brent Beauchamp, Chad Boespflug, Thomas Meseraull, and Bryan Clauson. The B-Main winner was Robert Ballou
