Didn't fail. The US Dirt Nat's then moved to I-70 in Odessa, Mo (when it was dirt) and there it died.

Knoxville ticket prices are pretty close...and they had about 10,000 to 15,000 people in the stands Thursday and Friday evening and about 22,000 in attendance Saturday night. Thursday and Friday's features paid $12,000 to win.

Obviously Terre Haute has a facility that is perfect for a multi-day, marquee event. It's been done before. Maybe if everyone proves to the O'Connors and Sargent that big events like these are worth their investment and will be supported, they'll have an incentive to make something like that happen.

Just a question. Not trying to stir anything but could it be since the smackdown is sanctioned by usac that keeps some teams away? Why does it have to be sanctioned by any organization?
