I only made 5 of the 7 events, but thought the racing was great. Got a little dusty, but who cares. It's dirt track racin'. I grew up going to sprint car races all over Indiana from the 50's to now. If anyone can remember a day race at Terre Haute in the 50's and 60's, then you can remember what a truly dusty race track was. Thank goodness for lights and all the equipment they use now.

I went to Kokomo, Lawrenceburg, and Haubstadt. I had been itching to get to Kokomo for years. After driving 6 hours I still haven't seen a race there, only wheel packing and hot laps. I did punish some Root Beer from that joint just down the road from the track.
I hadn't ever been to Lawrenceburg either and usually avoid large tracks. Glad I went, the racing was top notch. Haubstadt is where I grew up watching sprints. Racing there is good to me no matter what. One thought i had during isw- I heard and read several times from drivers/crews that Sprint Week is the week from hell and the hardest week in racing. I can't argue, but hearing that made me respect the UMP Summernationals even more. Could the USAC boys handle a gruesome schedule like that if given the chance? Posted via Mobile Device |

Why didn't they penalize DD for kicking water on the track from the infield? Oh yeah cause its there "golden child" they gave the provisional to at Haubstadt a few years back to cheat Bro out of a ISW championship so he could win it when DD didn't even make the dam race......what a joke.....& KTjr should have been black flagged too.
USAC.....what a joke Posted via Mobile Device |

Let's see. So far I have learned that: Levi is USAC's golden child and they make calls to make him happy. Clausen is USAC's golden child and they make calls to make him happy. DD is USAC's golden child and they make calls to make him happy. Did I miss anybody else??

What is your beef with DD. If you would show up at a race instead of playing with your computer you should know that most sprint weeks shows had 2-3 provisionals every race. You got such a problem with DD go down and see him in the pits he will talk to everyone even you i bet.

If anyone finds out where one can purchase a DVD of the entire Sprint Week, would you please post it here, or email me, or send up smoke signals, or something. I am not a computer geek, so please go easy on me for asking such a question. It is kinda hard to teach this old dog new tricks. Thank you.
