Actually a nice crowd at the Burg. Rain fell after sprint heats and first TQ heat were finished. Little shower was up in running about fifty minutes later. Sprints done 1030.
Was in car going to KC, Stopped at fuel station up street, Raining like crazy. I had looked at radar for KC and knew they were going to get something but the something they got was much later. Anyhow, I pulled out of fuel stop, Turned around and headed for burg. I honestly should have stayed home. I was in much pain. Show was good, Count was fine, Racing varied from excellent to freight train. Loved the MTQRL feature, Mod Feature, Moffatts run from tenth to fourth. Congrats to Memmer and Elson for great runs. Racer of the night for me was Westerfield, Where'd he find that speed? ![]() Was great to see Marv, Ed (Back from Surgery himself) ![]()

![]() Thanks for positive input. I was very happy for Jesse Cramer, he was due. He earned it. Also Brian Olson for being there right up to the end. Not to take anything away from Dickie Gaines but this race could have been won by any of the top 5 finishers besides Gaines. As Jesse referred to in the winners circle -> you do what think can work for the car but it still comes down to racing luck sometimes. <-not a quote) A tip o' the hat to Brad Dickison for (as always) delivering the pertinent information in a timely manner to us fans in the stands. Wish more announcers did their homework like him. I'm off to Kokomo.

Also enjoyed watching the pretty blue flames on the backstretch during the mod feature. But hated it for bumgardner (sp) heard he was going to head to Florida today.
