What about Moler Speedway, they ran Friday nights and car don't show up for Friday Night races.{fact].
Anytime you want to tech a JT motor[or any motor] put your money where your mouth is,all the equipment is there to do so.Last year all you had to have was $100 but we raised it to $300 this year just like the new club.You don't have to run a jt motor there are others.

You sign a contract with a race track.Please tell jt a track that pays per car ,sprints, late models ,stock cars,WOO,All Stars,USAC. The payoff listed at tracks don't say how many cars has to be there before they raise the purse.
jt didn't make the rules they have been there for at least 10 years and they were made by the racers at the time.There has been few changes[weight rule this year 2008].
I have a pay off sheet for 20 cars and payoffs for less.You can't pay out money you don't have.Members are free to ask anytime to see the payoff or ask questions. The 2008 rules are posted on the web site.
Right now there are a least 10 races for other tracks than Lawrenceburg that isn't putting all your eggs in one basket.
I don't have my papers with me but if I remember right we ran 9 races at Lawrenceburg,3 Twins Cities with them dropping a race 2 at Thunder Valley 1 at Osgood and Montplier cancelled theirs[not AMSA].Don't call that putting all your eggs in 1 basket.

If Lawrenceburg dropped these things from the schedule, you wouldn't have many eggs left in any basket. It seems that you're counting cancelled shows at Twin Cities and Montpelier as part of your schedule. Remember, "cancelled" means that there was no race! You can't put an egg that doesn't exist in a basket and count it. According to your math, w/o Lawrenceburg you would've only had six parades last year. Now, this year L'Burg has at least 14 shows for you folks. Take those shows off your schedule and how many eggs are left? Seems to me that L'Burg is your lifeblood, in this area. I think you guys should contact Herschel Benkert and try to schedule some shows on the motorcycle/go-kart track behind the grandstand at L'burg. I might even pay to see that. At least there would be a little driving involved instead of driving around flatout, straight as an arrow.

I'm sure Herschel would have to upgrade the wall around the outside of the track but, Bill Cunningham might help him out if he would propose running the mini's. Run'em Sunday afternoon-early evening.

AMSA ran a total of 17 races
8 Lawrenceburg
2 Nationals Lawrenceburg
thats 10
4 at Twin Cities
2 at Thunder Valley
1 at Osgood
For a grand total of 17 races ran
Twin Cities canceled 1 race [ all the workers went to Eldora for the World 100]
Montplier canceled at least 3[Don't think they ran anything last summer]
and there was 1 rain out at Lawrenceburg
so it would of been 11 Lawrenceburg
10 at other tracks for a total of 21 races

I'm not defending AMSA.I'm correcting lies about AMSA.Oh and by the way in the mid 90's I owned 2 mini sprints ,top 3 motors were tech for compression ,weighed and also fuel and tires checked.EVERY RACE All you heard was gripe gripe gripe about how much time it took.If your friend spent that much money for a motor he sure could of spent a lot less and still run with the winners.We did.
I'm sure jt didn'y slight you on purpose and I know he was working on getting races together for 2007 all the time taking care of his wife who passed away in Feb.Can't say about Lawrenceburg booth Dave has been nothing but supportive.

This was a thread started for a new series with more money,great,but most of the remarks were bashing AMSA and jt.

They haven't even run a race yet and already they're fighting each other. This is great.:doh:

To TNR22, not trying to challenge your experiences or anything like that, but I know that Jerry's wife was extremely ill all last winter and I believe she passed away a day or two after the first indoor race in Duquoin and that the next weekend was the swap meet in Indy. I did not witness your meeting with him I'm just stating that he had some personal things going on and that could have played a role in your conversation. Every time I've spoken with Jerry he has been helpful and considerate to me and his behavior as you described seems very out-of-character.
Also the late release of the 2007 schedule I believe was mainly because of Mrs. Tague's illness, as well as the promotion of Lawrenceburg (half the schedule- which is why we get 30-35 cars because of location) changing hands etc...

As far as competition of the series goes... my rookie year 2006 i believe there were 2 or 3 different winners with the top 3 mostly remaining unchanged all season whereas this past year 2007 there were 7 or 8 with the only a weight rule implimented. That's going in the right direction. If we get 25-30 cars a night and 10 of them can win thats a fair fight. Cost wise I've got a ERC 1000cc for sale that ran in the top 5 consistently all year for $8000 with everything I ran going with it, I'm not exactly sure what running a 600 is but I imagine it's around the same. Because the wings, torsion bars, shocks, and chassis don't know the difference between a 600 or 1000.

The AMSA promoted competitive, fair shows all year in an affordable class. The main concern I have with the development of the MMSA is that the car counts will be split. In my opinion if people have a legitimate beef with the AMSA about the purse, rules, whatever it would be better to try to address them within the AMSA and get rules/regulations changed instead of running off and developing a competing series and splitting up the limited number of cars. If the effort of developing the new series went into making the AMSA even better we'd have a damn good mini-sprint series to race in; instead now two good series will struggle to get cars.

The reason im selling my stuff is not because of ******** or anything like that. We are moving to 410s and cant afford both. Believe me, if i could run both I would because i've enjoyed my time with the AMSA. These are just my opinions i hope i didnt piss anybody off, I'm just trying to shed to light on the subject. With $1000 to win races car count wont be a problem, people will come from go-karts, sprints and mods, if these purses hold true its the most "buck for the bang" anywhere that I know of... Besides two series isnt the end of the world, it takes the monopoly of one series out, I plan to run with the Amsa some too, but I am not going to pass up a purse. Id like to see the MMSA run Bloomington or even Brownstown, I think there will be enough cars....

You know....I love how you are shoving (disrespecting) the lower classes onto not only a track that is too small to be anything but follow the leader or bump and bang, but now telling them to run on Sunday afternoon. You may not think much of the show, but there are plenty who do, and obviously the promoter does. Personally, running at tracks like Lawrenceburg, Vernon, Bloomingon, Gas City makes my year. We are a support class and do our best to put on a good show, which I happen to think we do a darn good job of doing, usually with 40 or so cars in the pits. When you get your points fund check at the end of the year, I would venture to say we helped some of that $$ come in. Perhaps you would see it differently if someone had the opinion that when USAC was at Lburg, you had to race on Sunday, they only cared about the cars that made the A main and the rest should pit at the Casino and not even bother coming in the gate? :thumbsdown:
